Welcome to Rhyfellion ab Sangui, or RaS, which is simply a company of adventurers of all races, alignments and personalities that have gathered to pursue their love for adventures together.
RaS has a central location upon a plot of land called Cair Rhyfellion; a keep and grounds large enough to house everyone comfortably. You may choose to live in a room in the keep, or a small cottage upon the grounds; or find your home within the grounds of our clans or guilds. If you wish your own cottage or flat, you can have that too!
You may choose to join a smaller group such as a clan or guild within RaS, or remain independent.
We invite you to join us on our quest for knowledge, power, and treasure! Oh, and you might actually learn something about yourself along the way, and gain some lifetime friendships, or lifetime enemies!

Why RaS?
RaS was created first and foremost as a means to write stories and adventures with a group of friends that truly enjoy roleplaying together. At first, we met once a week to go on quests but we enjoyed it so much we started opening chats in between our adventures, having parties and gatherings, or just hanging around in various areas of the land. A point in time came when we decided that RaS could be more than just a once a week campaign if people wanted it to be, it could be a full-fledged AOL roleplaying game.
There are three ways to play in RaS:
1. The first is attending our quests at set times and dates, as we hold our adventuring campaigns, much like a simple D&D tabletop game would be held. This will usually be one-two nights a week, and we will carry on if needed to the next week as a normal tabletop campaign.
2. Second is that you may roleplay your character as in a normal guild, opening chats such as the keep or inns or taverns, forest, lakes, arena etc, and roleplay your own (or our) storylines through the week; even if you never attend our set adventures! You can spar, do archery, joust, and many other activities as well such as going on small missions.
3. You can do both! Attend our weekly/biweekly adventures AND roleplay throughout the week with your own or our storylines, sparring and various other activities.
What makes RaS a fun place to play?
Because it's about the story. Plain and simple.
There aren't a ton of fancy rules and regulations for what you are allowed to play and where. We let you play your character however you want to play them - quiet, loud, rowdy, brawler, flirt, evil, lawful, chaotic - whatever. The only strict rule we have for our chat rooms is that you take all sexual activities between characters to private rooms.
There are no reports to send in. You don't even have to save your logs once they are sent in to be counted for credit. No need to apply for an audit when you reach d90. We do all the calculations for you and it's kept where everyone can see! Checks and balances are in place to keep this fair!
Speaking of fairness...Rank is gained by activity, activity earns points (AP), points give you certain ranks and dice. It's not a guessing game, or dealing with favorites or who has kissed whose ass, or who can make the prettiest documents. You show up and participate, you gain points, you gain rank, you earn skills, you grow in power.
We aren't trying to control you, we aren't trying to guilt trip you into playing our game. You can play as long as you wish, and when you don't want to play anymore, then you are free to leave, no hard feelings, no veiled threats, no accusations of disloyalty.
It's a do-it-yourself storyline game. Much of the upkeep is done by you, on the honor system, using your online character info sheet on our message board... which is a little scary perhaps but if you are ever found out to be fudging things or continually "forget" to add or take away items, you will be removed! We do spot checks every now and again to make sure you aren't changing skills out, and keeping up with your things! Yet another one of our checks and balances in place to make this fair for everyone involved.
Like I said, it's about the story. Your story.
This game may include:
Blood and Gore
Intense Violence
Mature Humor
Nudity
Strong Language
Strong Sexual Conduct
Use of Drugs and Alcohol...........so don't be shocked.
