[ Notes: I have listed the entire listing of everything that has happened. I hope you enjoy reading it. I also placed a short summery at the bottom that explains what has happened thus far.[/ul]
I[/b]t would seem that more and more information with each mission was starting to lead some place that might not be the most pleasant of situations. Last time on What Lies Beneath, our explorers were chased from the caves by a giant snake and were almost devoured whole. Thankfully, no one was harmed and they were able to get out of the cave before the snake could have its dinner. The magic that held the cave open closed and locked the snake tightly away within the caverns where it could do no longer do anymore harm. Although, the explorers did manage to save two Kh'rons from certain death. It would seems this married couple were dragged from their time kicking and screaming on the charge of hiding the sacred gemstones that the creatures of the temporal plane wish to get their hands on. The explorers were now responsible for getting these two safely back to their own era before the walls of time begin to break down and merge the worlds together causing time to rip a part and creating a new world all together. It is time to travel back in time to the scene of the crime where danger is afoot. Kierkan has arrived with the two humans with him at the secret waterfall located in the Ancient Forest.
D[/b]ani was already there by the time Kierkan had arrived with the two misfortunate souls. She had been there waiting since the day before, having decided to take time out and meditate on her thoughts in regards to traveling back further into the past. A small camp fire flared brightly before her as she sat in a cross-legged position next to it. A small canister of hot coffee rested in the palm of her hand. Looking up, she nodded a greeting to the trio as they made their way towards her. "Greetings. I hope your journey here was an easy one, cause I'm sure soon here its going to be getting pretty damn wild."
T[/b]he lone white wolf had camped there for the night, so she was already there and waiting donned in her full plate Mithril Armour with her family crest on the breast plate and the mark of her clan on the each shoulder plate, and on the back etched in painstaking detail a fire phoenix in gold, rising out of the ashes surrounded by white gold flames. Her fur seemed to glisten in the light as if permanently touched by the kiss of frost, ice blue hues looked to those already there as she offered a wolfish smile in a low friendly growl of a greeting to Dani and Kierkan, her tail wagging back and forth behind her. Ixen, her familiar and a fire phoenix, alight on her right shoulder, sword hilted at her side, bow with a quiver full of arrows strung on her backside, along with pack and pouch. She was ready for the journey ahead. She spoke in a low gruff growl of a voice. "This indeed will be interesting..."
A[/b]gnes had made sure she had everything needed before heading toward the falls. This was the very reason why Agnes was highly against the usage of time magic. This was simply not going to change her mind. The young lady arrived with a pocket of rocks, as well as her pack as she ducked her head to those gathered already. "Good day." She spoke up as she absently ran a hand over the dull gray travel dress. Well she rarely wore anything else.
C[/b]oran was quite interested in all that she had been hearing about the folks traveling out to this forest. She wasn't sure what they'd find, but whatever it was, in her state of mind today it would bother her much. Her eyes were a darker blue today, showing that her mood was also dark. She donned that Emperor's armor, which at the moment looked like normal grab. A long sleeve, light shirt, the color of the sky, and tight leather pants that acted as another piece of armor. She held her hand tightly upon the hilt of her long sword and let her eyes take a look around before she stepped up to the team. "Good evening." Was all she would say, small smile offered to try not to look like a bitch.
T[/b]he dark druid elf, Jade, had stayed the night here as well only she preferred to spend it in the realm of shadows sensing it was time for their journey to begin. She would step out from the shadows as they dissipated from her form. She wore her dark raven black cloak, embroidered with alternating gold and silver dragons along the edges with her Mithril Armour beneath that looked like a black one piece suit of spandex/leather. Her hood was down revealing those beautiful dark elven features, long black ebony locks cascading freely down her back. Dark emerald hues glanced around as a dark smile could be found on those black tainted lips of hers that no doubt stood out against the pale white skin. Her sword hilted at her side and a bow with a quiver full of arrows strung on her back side along with pack and pouch. The dragon medallion of two twin dragons intertwined with one another, one gold and one silver, alluringly was placed around her neck. She would see the humans and gave the male a playful wink, then looked around to all gathered and spoke in that dark chilling eerie voice of hers. "Dark eve, to you all...when everyone is here and are ready, things, indeed, will get wild..." With that said, her smile only grew darker as she was to be the one to open the doors through time and bring them all to their destination.
T[/b]he seemingly young magical boy, Kierkan Landers, would look up from the humans that he was speaking to in Kh'ronish when suddenly he saw everyone had arrived. Dani had that bonfire going which he was happy to see her chipping in. It was a little chilly and the last thing they needed were the humans getting sick. Oaken hued eyes would gaze around at everyone and notice the new face within the crowd. "Hello there." He would look to the new female and give a bright trademark smile for him. He was happy to see that other people were taking an interested in this mission. And she came at a time when things were going to get wild as Dani had stated. She was quite right. Those lithe hands would pull at the blue cloak that was wrapped around his body as items needed for this journey were stuffed into the inner pockets. The way it was designed, fortunately, it didn't show. He would call his attention to everyone. "I thank you for coming again to help me with this difficult journey. I wish everyone to be safe so if you need to do anything, now is the time to do it. I cannot guarantee your safety so if you wish to turn back now, this is the time." He would turn his gaze to the newcomer. "We must travel back in time to undo what these time demons have done. They have stole two innocent lives from their own time and ripped them from it looking for the gemstones of the Oratio who are people like Lady Emmarie." He would then look to them for their reactions to see who would leave him to journey alone.
A[/b]gnes simply stared at him. "Coran isn't the sort to back out." She chimed up for her friend and guild leader. She folded her hands before her as she gave a small nod to the two people. "We'll have you home in no time.." She offered. Hm.. pun intended? Maybe.
A[/b] simple nod was offered to the others as they made their presence known. Dani would finally speak. "Glad to see you all could make it." And she honestly was at that. Bright hues gazed toward Coran for a moment, a new face in an old crowd. No matter, the woman's help would be more then welcome! Pushing herself up from the ground, she patted the dust from her rump and poured out the remains of her now chilled coffee. Setting the small cup back into her pack. "No worries Kierkan-friend, I'm here till the very end."
L[/b]atisha never left a mission unfinished and she wasn't about to start now. She gave Dani a proud wolfish smile as she looked to Kierkan. "I have already sworn my sword to aid in your cause. A promise that I shall not abandon and will not abandoned in your time of need." Spoken in a matter of fact tone and in that low gruff growl of a voice, she wore around her neck as well the same pendant found around Jade's but only it was customized for her allergy to silver and the silver dragon was actually made from white gold to look silver.
"You need not worry about me, young sire. I shall not leave the group." C[/b]oran voice was stern, and her posture was serious. She offered Dani a smirk and Agnes a warm smile. All she could muster with a mood like hers. Agnes laughed softly and linked her arm with Coran's. "Alright darlings..we really should be moving along. We've a lot to get finished and I'm sure these people have had a lovely time here.. but would rather be in their own home." She pointed out.
K[/b]ierkan's head would nod furiously toward Agnes as she was most definitely correct. He really couldn't understand it but the gentle woman made his heart light and brightened his thoughts with her comments. She was rather uplifting in her pursuit to make Coran feel like one of the group. It was one of her best qualities. His eyes would turn to Dani and Latisha. Becoming knights had made them very simple but they were brave and full of heart. It was encouraging to see this. Kohl lashes would bat a few times as he looked to Coran. Another committed soul to the mission. This was something that he enjoyed seeing honestly. Hands would now be placed interlocked together in front and atop of his blue flowing cloak that was ebb and flowing in the wind as they speak. Night was starting to approach and they should be getting started. Although Agnes had taken the words straight away from his mouth. "Agnes is indeed right." He would turn toward Jade. He disliked the female slightly for her dark ways but he knew that she was the only one that could pull this great feat off. "You may proceed Jade." The words were exact and cold and were tossed out with little concern for her feelings but it was hard for him to hide how he felt.
J[/b]ade smirked at Agnes' words that dark smile of hers grew even more as dark emerald hues looked around as she spoke in that eerie voice of hers. "I'm only going to tell you this once, so listen up everyone. You all need to get in a tight nit circle and you need to hold hands with everyone, if you break the circle, you will surely die or be lost in time so better be sure you trust the hand you are holding." That dark smile grew more sinister as she distanced herself a good long ways away from the group. She wasn't leaving them. She was making sure she was a safe distance away for what was going to happen next and waited for them all to comply with her instructions.
A[/b]gnes lifted a brow and took a hold of Coran's hand and held the other out for .. whoever. There wasn't a person here she didn't trust. While Jade made her a little uncomfortable..from time to time.. she knew the vampire wouldn't do anything deliberate to harm her.
C[/b]oran moved her arm from Agnes' and wrapped her hand in her's. She was mumbling in elvish angrily for a moment before she took a deep breath. Coran moved to grab Dani's hand, because Coran knew Dani better than the other lot.
T[/b]he lone white wolf, Latisha, would take Dani's other free hand and offered her other a heavy clawed paw for whoever, and she was sure to hold hands with them gently as to not squish anyone. Her heavy padded paws were actually quite soft to the touch rather then rough as one might expect. Her tail wagging back and forth behind her in eager anticipation, being close to the Knight Clan, she had an idea of what Jade was up too, but had no clue what the barings on her would be.
F[/b]ingers grasped against Coran's hand and Dani's other reached out to grasp Latisha's. Finding herself situated, Dani waited for the rest of the group to prepare and take hands. "I'm ready."
H[/b]old the hand of a dead person . . no. Kierkan in his village was a healer and someone who sent the dead to their resting place as he communes with the dead that sent him visions. Jade's very nature went against reason and defied what dead was. Those narrowed eyes would gaze upon her and then he would move to Agnes' outstretched hand. He would quickly take Latisha's hand into his. It was time for them to travel back in time. Those eyes would raise toward Jade. "Get on with it!" He would state rather impatiently and meanly. He would motion for the two humans as they were terrified and quick-footedly moved to take anyone's hands that were free at the moment. They were ready to just get home and they were willing to do whatever it took.
J[/b]ade would be sure to be far, far away from them all, but in the distance, she could still be seen, through the link to Latisha's pendant would glow. She could tell when everyone was ready and she began what she came here to do. She wasn't holding onto anyone's hand as she was too far away, but there was a reason for this as she offered herself up to the shadows. They swirled around her until she could no longer be seen only the faint glow from the pendant worn around her neck which if anyone noticed was causing Latisha's to glow as well. She disappeared into the shadows as she began to shift into her true from, being of dragon heritage, and a druid, she shifted to her true dragon self. The sound of bones twisting and breaking and reforming could be heard along with a painful shriek which turned quickly into a loud fearsome dragon growl that would shake the very foundations of the earth. In her full dragon form, she was a good 300 + feet from the tip of her dragon nose to the tip of her dragon tail. Her wings outstretched and spanned a good 600 + feet in length from wing tip to wing tip. Her scales were dark raven black, black as the darkest of nights. Her wings and dragon belly were gold lined with silver and her dragon claws gold and silver tipped. Her teeth were gold and silver tipped as well. Her eyes gold and silver flecked, in this form, she had access to all her dragon powers. The one she was most concerned with for the time being was a time dragon, she had altered the silver in her body with her own magic to protect the lycan, Latisha, from it. She looked to the group and let out a fearsome roar giving her large powerful dragon wings a flap as she moved them to engulf the group as she did this the spell. It would be cast and they would be taken to another place and time.
A Journey Back In Time: As the ritual came to an end, their journey would begin. Time was slit and the group including the humans were hurled through time. Their bodies of course were turned into heavy matter and felt as though they were 100 more pounds than what they were. When the ripple had ended and time and space had shifted to a solid point, their bodies were slam furiously against the ground and they could move once more. Although things were not as they should be. As they looked around to the new surroundings, it was far different from anything they were used too. They were located in a small circular village that had rectangular wooden houses closely built together with thatched straw roofs with fences lined all around each house. There was a stable connected to each one. Smoke and burning flesh would assault their senses. The village was under siege. The smell of burning mud and straw would fill their noses as the houses were set ablaze. Sheep, chickens and large black pigs ran amuck within the village as screaming men, women, and children were running helplessly around crying for help. Although, what had done this? GRRRRRRRR!!!! They would soon enough get their answer. When they turned toward the sound, reanimated skeleton remains stood with crossbows locked and ready to fire at will.
D[/b]ani hit the ground with a solid thud and a loud grunt of pain followed. "Holy damn!" Rolling to the side, she sucked in a mouthful of air in an attempt to refill depleted lungs. Oh, how she hated time travel...in all forms. And by the gods that was one huge Jade dragon! Trying to get her bearings, she pushed herself back to her feel and looked to all the carnage and panicked villagers. "Oh what did we drop into now..." Her voice high-pitched trailed off just as the undead soldiers came into view. One particular one was chasing a woman carrying a small child. Making her choice now her hands grasped against both her ivory hilted dirks and pulled them from their sheathes. "Hey you, why don't you pick on someone your own size!" She challenged it in order to gain its attention. Rushing over to the small woman, Dani would move her out of the way before sending both tapered blades to slide against the bone breast plate of the first soldier she saw.
L[/b]atisha blinked as she caught her breath as well, she shook her head to get her bearings as her muzzle twitched this way and that taking in the sights and sounds. She smirked as she saw the undead army they seemed to have stumbled into and she was glad she was a holy paladin. She would draw her sword from its sheath and using her holy valor to slash at them with her sword, letting out a fearsome howl as she did so. She had seen the other knights in their dragon form so this was not a surprise to her as she thought on how it must have seemed to the others how Jade appeared.
A[/b] fearsome growl would come passed his lips when the meddlesome woman, Dani, came to stop him from getting what he desired. His jaw was knocked out of place and fell upon the ground when Dani had slashed at him. Then, suddenly, got hit from Latisha. This would just not due. The angry undead creature would then load both of its crossbow with bolts. Then, suddenly, he lock on to both Latisha and Dani. A roar would come spilling out of its mouth that was blood curtly to listen too before it fired its rounds off at the ladies. One arrow did claim flesh and struck Dani hard.
C[/b]oran, disoriented from the form of travel they had taken, and then thrust, back first onto the ground heaved out the air in her lungs and took long, gasping breaths to get it back. "Could.. warn me next time..about proper landing, or something!" She said with a huff and chuckled as she rose and dusted herself off. That was before she spotted the hell raising here in this little village. And her aura was strengthened ten fold at that moment, which meant there was a creature of a dark alignment around. When she watched the others attack and be attacked she growled and charged forward, drawing her long sword swiftly to take a slash at undead at the soldiers. She miss one but take a powerful strike at the other.
O[/b]nce they arrived at their destination, Jade would fold those dragon wings of hers softly upon her back. She would let out a fierce dragon growl as she was in her full dragon form still. She peered down to the tiny skeleton army as she lifted her dragon tail and with the full force of that tail to knocked the undead soldiers to the ground. Unfortunately, the soldiers were just to quick for the slow but powerful dragon. They quickly jumped right over and moved to safety.
A[/b]nger billowed freely in that undead skeleton body as those beaming bright red eyes would glare out toward the woman that was standing in the midst of the battle and had taken much damage from it. Coran. Those eyes would scrutinize the armor that she was clad in and could tell that she was the stronger of the group. The creature only possessed one bolt with armor piercing abilities and it had every intention of using it. It loaded and then fired the round at the female and it dead on piercing her armor and entering her flesh.
A[/b]gnes landed with a jar to her entire person as she fell back into the dirt. The battling around her caused the dark eyes to open wide as she took it all in for a moment. The skeletons caught her attention as the brows lifted, "Coran, I have only one word to say to you." She offered as she began to gather the energy from her internal core. The small mage made her way closer to the battling Soldiers. "Port Key." Well honestly that had bruised her hiney! With no warning at all so.. neener! The small hand reached out and touched the first Soldier then carried on to the second as she released her spell. The sudden burst of positive energy erupted from the young lady's hands as she touched either of the undead soldiers.
W[/b]ow! That was a horrible landing. Kierkan's poor backside received most of the blow as he landed upon the hard rock soil now. This was strange timing indeed. It would have been Kierkan's first time traveling back in time. He had spoken with spirits of other times that were lingering about but he had never actually seen it with his own eyes. Fear would tremble through his entire body when that fearsome growl would be heard. Eyes would dart out toward the undead creature that was there. "Seriously! More undead things!" Although Kierkan shouldn't jest about that considering Jade was a mighty dragon it seemed that could eat him in one bite; he was fearful of that now. Finally, he would look into himself for the psionic abilities he has possessed since birth. Then, finally he would raise those hands. Air around his fingertips would bend and shift as he threw all of his magical powerful toward one of those skeletons! That telekinetic strike would knock it from its feet but it would soon get right back up. "They just won't die will they!"
A[/b]s the arrow came, Dani would attempt a quick dodge to the side. Though she manage to avoid an impaling, the projectile did tear into the arm of her heavy leather jerkin and incise into her flesh. With a feral snarl, she set the flash of blinding pain aside and reached over to rip the arrow shaft from her, break it in half and slam it to the ground. Amber cat-like hues flared brightly. Damn but the small shapeshifter was pissed now. A single dirk still in her hand, she waited until the other magical attackers finished with their spells. Once an opening was made clear, Dani leapt in trying to tackle down her first target from before. While at the same time slamming the tip of her blade directly into its eye socket. She was successful in that.
L[/b]atisha would dodge the arrow aimed for her and let out a snarl and howl as she did hurl herself toward both soldiers now with her lycan might, she hit the first one hard. She started a chain reaction hitting the second one with her blade as well.
I[/b]t would growl toward Latisha and Dani for their strikes but it would turn away from them. Those red bright beaming eyes of hatred would now glue upon that meddling magic user. These creatures feared magical beings and also enjoyed feeding upon them. They were very rich with that magically infused blood of theirs. It would stomp against the ground to get Agnes' attention. It wanted to look directly into those eyes when it shot that arrow straight into her throat. It would aim and then send that bolt barreling toward her. Fortunately, it would not slash her throat like the evil being desired but it would claim exposed flesh.
C[/b]oran growled, a low and guttural sounds as she watched Agnes get attacked. "Not my real best friend you disgusting fiend!" She hollered as she charged at that vicious undead creature and sliced at his bone-y throat with her long sword in flames.
T[/b]he fiery blade would begin to slash away at the creature's bones. Suddenly, the fire would catch upon the bones and start to seer and merge its bone marrow together into a tight ball of bone fragment. It would let out a scream before it would finally parish. Those bright red eyes from the remaining brotheren would glare at the group with malicious intention set in those hues. It was coming for them.
J[/b]ade peered at the skeleton un-phased by her tail and then moved her tail and held it in her dragon claws for a bit and examined it wondering why it seemed to work against her and not for her. Then again it did seem to have a mind of its own then she would let it go and focused once more on the undead soldiers as she let out another loud dragon roar the likes of which would send a chill down anyone's spine as she saw the one fall and only one remained. She would open her large dragon mouth and took in a deep breath, as she let out her rain of acid breath upon the poor undead creature.
T[/b]hose violent eyes would peer out toward the remaining crew as anger billowed inside of him. Suddenly, he look upon Kierkan with those vicious eyes as he loaded this special bolt within its slot. Poison it intended. It raised the weapon into the air and then fired its shot toward Kierkan. It would claim flesh but the poison wasn't strong enough.
A[/b]gnes turned and looked at the undead though the arrow had been aimed for her throat thankfully took her shoulder instead. She cried out as it spun her about. The young lady drew the thick book from her pack. It was called a battle book for good reason with the heavy handle allowing her to wield it like a mace. She couldn't use the other arm, but she certainly didn't have that issue with her good one. She turned and attempted to wallop the undead soldier with the book. She would get a might strike!
T[/b]he magical male was not a happy camper at all. The undead creature had managed to nail him with an arrow that was sticking out of his shoulder right now. He wasn't as skilled as the Knights and Coran happen to be to dodge these attacks. He was healer, not a fighter. He would feel a pain shoot up his body but fortunately, his magical blood would reject the poison that tried to enter his system. With those eyes narrowed toward that creature, he had to admit he hated the undead with a unsaintly passion. Finally, he pulled the arrow free. An angry cry would spill from his mouth. Then he raised that arrow with his psionic abilities and gave that hatred skeleton a piece of his mind. "Feel this!" He then let the telekinetic abilities guide the arrow toward its body. Unfortunately, it went right in-between those bones but it made the undead creature pause for a long moment.
A[/b]fter all that and the creature was still up and about?! Dani could not believe this, damned undead. Once again she pushed herself from off the ground and turned to this second soldier. "Die already you unholy thing!" with that she snapped out a kick in order to throw the creature off balance. Both dirks fit into each palm and she rushed the creature slamming her own body into that skeletal frame both blades came around and thrust into the sides of its cranium. Although the undead creature was not blind and he quickly jumped back before the woman could attack him.
L[/b]atisha was infuriated to see Kierkan and Agnes hit with those arrows and tapped into her bestially fury as she did she grew slightly larger and looked 10 times scarier as she let out another growl. She swung her blade at the undead soldier that remained and diced and sliced it's bones good.
I[/b]t was weak, it would have to admit that. The attacks had been strong against him and it knew what its fate would be. Although it was not going down without a fight. The undead creature would glare hatefully at Dani once more with those its trigger happy fingers pressed against that crossbow. It would send its final bolt barreling for Dani as it fell to the ground and seeped into the ground with a black tainted aura floating into the air.
A[/b]fter the creatures were dead again, something would call from the distance. A strange man stepped from a wooden house and spoke the language of the Kh'ronen. The man was dressed in a sleeveless fur cap made out of sheep skin. His legs were clad in woolen leg warmers and pants. The short hair atop his head was covered with a woolen cap and in his hand was a mighty sword. From the distance, you could tell that it was a special weapon as a pale yellow heat-treated smoky quartz stone was graphed into the weapon. It reflected against the hot sun that beat down upon them. He seems friendly enough.
C[/b]oran spotted the Kh'ron across the distance and was not hesitant about snatching up one of the humans by the collar of their shirt and drawing her shield from her back, hoping it would protect the human man at least. She charged forward through the barrage of arrows to make it to the house to hide before getting in. Not quick enough though. One of the undead soldiers managed to puncture her leg with an arrow. Coran gasped and her face contorted under the pain of the shot to the leg. She limped as quickly as she could to try and get through. Uh-oh, it seems she tripped! Suddenly, an arrow comes barreling for her and embeds itself into her shoulder. You are going to feel that in the morning. Although she quickly made her way inside the house out of danger with the human attached at her hip.
J[/b]ade was in her full dragon form still so there was no running really to be had with her, but she would try to shield herself with her wings from the arrows that rained down upon her as she moved toward the house upon hearing the mans words. The swoosh of air guiding by her face could be heard but it seems she were just too quick for them. She was too big to hide behind anything at this point. She had to keep going. She let out a mighty dragon roar as she saw the arrow flying at her still luckly for her her wings shielding her from the impending doom, but she was a bit inconspicuous and stood out now which she had a feeling was a bad thing. She decided to transform to her elven self, the shadows swirled around her form as she changed back, appearing to wear her cloak with mithril armour beneath it, as she looked for a safe opprotunity to make her way to the house. She used her acrobatic skill to do so safely hoping to avoid getting hit with arrows. It seemed her skill had worked in her favor. She was able to dodge all of the incoming arrows. She quickly jetted passed the strange male and enter inside the house to wait for your friends to join her.
A[/b]gnes saw the rainfall of arrows coming in as she reached out and grasped the second human. "Duck!" She cried out as she shoved them down behind a wagon. She attempted to follow immediately after. She was fortunate enough to get through without a single scratch on her. She quickly ducked behind a lone building to wait for a good time to move toward the house. She reached out and took their hands. "Stay with me." She whispered as she judged the distance and with the hand in her own she darted acrossed the yard toward the open door of the gentleman's house, pulling the other with her. Uh-oh, it seems she tripped! Suddenly, an arrow came barreling at her and embeds itself into your shoulder. She yelled in pain as she simply held on tight to that human and disappeared into the house behind the stranger.
T[/b]he little mage, Kierkan, was seriously upset by all of the undead things trying to claim his life. They had already passed away. Why were they trying to bring them with them? It was upsetting the balance and he would have send each and everyone of them to their graves where they belonged but they were outnumbered and they needed shelter. He would quickly make a dash for that building, praying to the fayth that he would make it in time. Arrows flew right by his face as Kierkan clutched his chest with panic. He strangely got very lucky by that dash. He leapt behind that building for safety as he felt those arrows flying passed his face. Suddenly, he would look up and see a lonely human and her baby. This was the one that Dani was trying save. He trusted Dani to take care of the humans he left behind so he would usher these kh'ronen safely with him. He then took a dash with the baby now clutched in his arms and sheilding the mother from attacks rushing toward that house with the strange man. Uh-oh. Kierkan had been too nice as the humans slowed him down. He suddenly felt the arrow pierce his flesh and drive into his shoulder. Screaming in pain, he would shove on and get inside that building before further pain could come.
D[/b]ani felt lucky that the last arrow that was shot at her was no more then a glancing blow, thanks to her leather armor. Watching from safety she looked on at her team made their way toward and into the stange male's home. A cringe given as those few fell to the enemies' arrows. "Come on everyone, stay safe!" She called out in some form of encouragement. A swat was given to the little mage's rump as Kierkan rushed off as well trying to get himself to safety. Seeing him fall at the very last she sucked in a breath and willed him to continue. Only releasing as he finally made it within. Her turn next. She shifted to face the small human woman left behind with her. "Hold on, this is going to be a bumpy ride..." Drawing the pain in her arm to the side she reached out and lifted the light little woman up and set her body over her shoulder. Spinning around she made a mad dash straight for the first obstical to hide behind! Not quick enough. One of the undead soldiers managed to puncture her leg with an arrow. Oh gods not the leg! Grimacing in pain she managed to keep to her feet. The safety of the woman that was entrusted Dani with her life came paramount. Eyeing the distant stranger she made her second dash for his door this time. Jaws gnashed painfully as the arrow stuck deep into her thigh. Fortunately, he was just fast enough to clear the distance even with her wounded leg and made it inside safely with the human throw over her back.
L[/b]atisha's eyes widened as she felt herself caught in the raining down volly of arrows, that satisfied smirk that could be found on her woflish muzzle quickly turned to fierce growl as she watched her friends try to make it for the house and get hit with arrows, and seeing jade neglected to help any humans she was glad she was a strong lycan as she picked up two of them and tried to make her way to the nearest building to hide behind, hoping to not get hit as she moved as fast as she could. Unfortunately, she wasn't fast enough. One of the undead soldiers managed to puncture her leg with an arrow. Seems taking on two humans was slowing her down enough to take an arrow in her leg she let out a loud howl in pain as she would suck it up and with a human under each arm she still dashed for the strange man's house hoping her lycan speed and agility was good for something, or perhaps the battle had taken its toll on her. She would soon find out. Uh-oh. She was losing a human and quickly had to adjust herself. Just then, an arrow came out of no where and slammed into her shoulder blade. Poor little wolf. She would quickly make her way inside the house from danger.
O[/b]nce everyone was inside the house, the strange man would slam the door shut behind them and barricade the door the best he could. They would be safe here but not for long. The undead creatures were going house to house. The small house had mud and wattle walls that surrounded them. There was a fireplace with stack where the smoke would flee. There were sleeping places lined up all across the walls. The room was rather bare but this is how these people lived.
A[/b]gnes looked over the others as she took out a small bit of leather and bit into it before removing the arrows from her shoulder. Good thing the little lass had sat her backside down. The strange man would gather materials in the corner of first aid. Those who were wounded could dress their wounds. Agnes looked to the others. "Do any of you require healing?" She asked softly as she finally got the bleeding to stop, so now it was then she took time to ensure the group was whole. Or .. well less holey.
C[/b]oran was sitting on the floor, ripping the arrow from her leg with a shudder of pain through her body. And then she reached up for the arrow in her shoulder and ripped it out. "Ahh, goddamned. That hurt like a bitch." Her face was grim as she looked around.
W[/b]ith a scowl, Dani set her human baggage down, at least the woman she carried made it through unscathed. Plopping her own rump down onto the ground, Dani grasped the protrusion sticking from her leg and tugged the offensive arrow stright out. A yelp sounded loudly within the small home before dying down into a low pathetic whine. Oh, how she now hated undead with the skill of archery. Damn them all to hell!
L[/b]atisha would make it to the house and the door slammed behind her. She let out a fierce howl and a low rumbling growl as she felt the arrows she took hit her but she took them gladly as she was able to ensure the safety of two humans. She would set them down and whinced in pain as she took in a deep breath and would hold it as she removed the arrows a look of pain only seen in her eyes as she was a seasoned enough paladin she could remove arrows from herself with out showing the pain she felt once removed she was glad to be lycan as she felt the wounds begin to close.
C[/b]losing her eyes, Dani leaned back against the dresser frame and forced herself to relax. Deep breathes were taken and released, once the pain was again controlled she began pulling swathes of cloth from her pack and wrapping her wounds tightly. A smile was flashed to Agnes with the girl's own offer of healing. "No thanks, for now I think i'll be okay."
J[/b]ade smirked as she watched them all in pain she was glad she didn't pick up a stupid human, seemed like they all paid a dear price for it too. She would just watch them all tend to their wounds as she stood there unscathed and untouched with a dark tainted smile of satisfaction on her face.
K[/b]ierkan had almost made it through without getting tagged by an arrow into his shoulder. He had another wound on his other shoulder. Seriously!? He quickly made his way into the house seeking shelter without asking any questions at that point. He didn't know who the male was but he wasn't undead and that is what would count. The small framed male would make his way over to one of the beds that lined up against the wall. He would take a sit. Suddenly, he would jump when the strange male would come to him with the first aid kit. He would of course be very thankful and gracious for his help. He then removed the arrow with a painful shirk and then began catering to those wounds. He would shake his head to Agnes. "Thank you for your kindness but I will be okay I think."
Strange Man[/i]: The young boy would simply assist everyone with dressing their wounds and would idly speak in his tongue as he did so. "Zi'lam ol ediwith. De lasod olla anli'dar. Lasi d'Oratio. Ennym'dar lasod Adriel T'e yardu z'cell per'ze."
A[/b]gnes glanced to the others. "Um.. anyone know what he's saying?" She asked softly as she looked back at him. She understood only one word.. and that was the Oratio.
L[/b]atisha shook her head as she looked to Agnes. "No clue what he is saying." Her voice was that low gruff growl ears pinned slightly to her head as she was slightly annoyed. She wasn't able to make it without getting hit by some arrows, tail swished around in annoyance as well but she was happy she saved the humans.
D[/b]ani allowed the male to tie off the last of her bandage dressings. Tilting her head to the side she watched as he tended the others as well. His language was odd, indeed, and at Agnes' question she could only shake her head.
J[/b]ade only offered that dark tainted smile of hers as she watched the strange man attend to all their wounds, she hadn't the foggiest what he was saying but she wasn't about to let everyone else know that so she just remained silent.
C[/b]oran was healed almost completely now and she took in a breath. She was strongly inclined to bad thoughts at the moment as she looked to the others. "What now? We go back into the horde?"
"We try to get them home.. and not end up dead ourselves." A[/b]nges pointed out softly as she watched the strange man. "I don't understand..um.." She looked around and of course not much to work with as she canted her head and lifted her hands a bit to show she didn't know what he was saying.
K[/b]ierkan would shake his head as he seriously could not believe that he would say such a thing. He looked to the rest of them and had completely forgotten that they couldn't understand this language. Yet again it was the language of the people of the lands they lived in. Why would they not learn it! He laughed slightly at Coran at least she tried. Kierkan was such a book worm it was ridiculous sometimes. For what he lacked in fighting skills, he did fortunately make up for it in knowledge. He then finally decided to translate for them. "He said for those who didn't understand that: I am so
sorry. This is all my fault. I am a Oratio. My name is Adriel. The enemy came for me." He then looked toward the male now as he proceeded to get more answers from him because this was not enough for Kierkan's taste. He wanted to know more about what was going on in his place. He would be slightly angry that he thought that it was his fault. "Zi'lam Zi'lam ba t'e yardu z'cell per'zu. Xedra dweed s'yn ki nizz kime i suth."
Adriel: A bright smile would appear across those soft lips when the male would response to him in his language. He listened closely to the others and seriously thought that there would a gap in understanding. He then turned to the male and began to speak the language much quicker than before. He would explain what they needed to know. Eyes narrowed some as Kierkan translated the man's words.
"What do you mean this is his fault? He brought this all upon the small village? How?" T[/b]he questioned flowed from Dani's lips, how could the man, knowing the creatures were after him, lead them here...or conjure...whatever he did. Those poor villagers. Her right hand slid idly against the hilt of her dirk while she awaited the answer to her stated questions, though all the while her heated gaze never left his features. For now she was a distrustful sort and this one male she truly distrusted.
L[/b]atisha's ears perked up as she heard Kierkan translate for them and a deep pondering look could be seen on her face as she looked to Dani and heard her question, she had questions of her own, a heavy clawed paw would move to the hilt of her sword that was once again at her side as she peered at the man now, muzzle twitching slightly as she took in his scent. She moved and circled around him as she looked him over, then eyes went to Kierkan. "Ask him if he knows who is behind all this, like the leader, and if he knows their location? We must put an end to this madness even if he's fault or not...doesn't matter...." She stated that last bit matter of fact like tone.
C[/b]oran watched and listened as the two conversed. The only question she had was this. "How is Lady Emma involved in this, other than she is herself, an Oratio?" Agnes simply watched from the side at the moment as she glanced back out the window. She was listening as she kept that in mind. She was also keeping an eye on the horde outside in the village.
T[/b]hose oaken hues would turn toward Dani first as she was first to ask a question. He then turned and translated the language into his speech as he spoke with Adriel. The male would quickly speak back. It was very hurried so Kierkan struggled to understand for a moment. He then got it finally. He turned toward Dani. "He states that the creatures are after his people. He came to this village thinking the creatures would not learn of his whereabouts but he got careless and lead them straight to this time. His people are able to move through time freely with the power of the gemstones. He possess one and uses it to fight the creatures with his weapon." Kierkan would end and then look up to any further questioning. They would hit him with two very complex questions. He would then turn toward the male and translated it. As he spoke, Kierkan would start to explain what he was saying. "The creatures that are after the oratio are from the temporal planes. A leader named Lord Ipsen does not wish to share time travel and has a serious grudge against the one they call Andra'liah, Lady Emmarie. One of the Lord's brothern was killed by her named Thief. He stole a gemstone from a oratio but Lady Emmarie reclaimed it after a long battle. The creatures' do not take kindly to anyone killing their kind. They are after her but no one knows what they plan. There is a tower here that legend holds that Kh'ronos, the God of Eldon Heath lives atop the tower. You must journey there and speak with him for more answers."
J[/b]ade would listen to the others ask their questions, they seemed to ask all the questions she was concerned with, long pointy elven ears twitched as she listened to the mage tell the answers to the questions and she remained there silent as she just watched the others. She did however like being surrounded with so many succulent human creatures as she flashed a vampiric smile and moved her tongue over her sharp pointy fangs, giving the mage a playful wink.
"It's always a tower." A[/b]gnes spoke softly. "Where is the tower?" She inquired as she looked back to the Oratio that they were speaking to. Coran rose to her feet, hand on the hilt of her long sword. She walked over to Jade and smiled. "May I be transported out of here? I must speak with Emma as soon as possible." She said before she looked to Agnes with a wink and a thumbs up.
A[/b]gnes gave a small nod and winked at her. "Travel safely, and give the twins a hug for me." She stated quietly. Jade offered Coran that dark tainted smile of hers. "Indeed, you may." She offered out a delicate elvish hand, which once touched by Coran. She would be wisked away in a swirl of shadows and sent back to her own time and place.
"Safe journey, Coran." D[/b]ani offered the other woman when hearing of her soon to be departure. Kierkan would have given the female a wave goodbye and thank her so much for what she had done but she was gone before he even got the chance. Those eyes would cut to Agnes as she had a good question there. So he would start to ask but suddenly, something was happening. Kierkan would smell something. "Do you guys smell something?" He would state with a curious stare.
R[/b]eleasing the touch of her dirk, Dani would lean against a far wall. Blond head lolled lazily to the side while she listened to the rest of Kierkan's translated words. At the next warning from the little mage she roused herself. Her head turned back and forth for surly that was none other then smoke! Those blasted undead creatures managed to set the house on fire.
A[/b]gnes looked to the others, her hand reached out and caught that of the human's again as she tugged them out with her as she sought another place of safety. Agnes managed to get out of the house with the other two humans in tow. "That was close! Where too folks.. we need cover and quickly." She stated over her shoulder as she sought a place to hide.
L[/b]atisha would be thankful for her armour as her muzzle twitched having given the one that left them a low growl and a nod as she watched her leave as if to say safe travels but she smelled smoke and would look to the others. She took up the two humans she rescued before and followed the others out.
D[/b]ani would follow right on the other woman's heels with one of the humans in her grasp. She looked rapidly around while making her own body as small of a target as possible. "Whatever we do, we need to do it fast."
T[/b]he mage of course being the first to spot the fire, Kierkan would then see that he was the first to get burned. His flesh would feel that singe and sadly he would feel it scrap at the surface of his skin. Fortunately, it would not be a second or third degree burn by looking at it and he quickly pulled his arm close to his body to shield it from any further damage. He quickly ran from the house now. He looked to the humans that were inside the house and unfortunately the flames were too high. He reached for them the best that he could but his flesh would again be burned once more. The rest of the group were able to save their humans but Kierkan was at a loss as the burn caused him to be able to act quick enough and they would be trapped within the fiery inferno. He would have no choice but to save himself and quickly rush completely from the house as it quickly lit ablaze with screams coming from the house now. They soon would die down and Kierkan helplessly feel to the floor and began crying and screaming to the top of his lungs. "How could they do that?!?!"
J[/b]ade would be singed by flames. She scowled and let out a demonic hiss as she was slightly annoyed that she was able to get burned by fire, and she would being in her heart of hearts a knight she would use her shadow magic to escape the burning inferno from further inflicting pain on her in a swirl of shadows as she dissappeared into the shadow realms and appeared outside the house with the others now safely.
B[/b]rows lowered as Dani turned back to the house. The screaming within sent a shiver of revulsion coursing up and down her spine. "That could have happened to us. Now we need to get ourselves and the remaining survivors out of here before it does..."
L[/b]atisha placed the two humans down that she took with her and looked around to everyone glad they made it out safely, she looked around as she spoke in that low gruff growl of a voice. "Suppose the only place left to go is that tower."
A[/b]gnes turned and looked to Kierkan as she walked toward him and lightly touched his arm. "We have to go.." She whispered softly. "There are some things.. that.. we cannot change."
U[/b]nfortunately, they walked right into a trap. Seven undead soldiers surrounded them with their crossbows aimed directly at their jugulars. It seemed they were going to die a very quick death now. Any last words? Adriel had a few. The male would hold the sword within the air and scream at the top of his lungs. "Abbe'dar Kh'ronos, riatare da safro aerie. Igla s'yn kero voysh iyon! Z'doon Te Andra'liah!" Suddenly, the air around them would begin to shift and sparkle with a pale yellow hue as the source was glowing from the citrine stone. Suddenly, in the blink of eye, the explorers would be transported to another area completely. Looking up now, they would appear inside the tower that was spoken about that held a god. When they viewed their surroundings, they would be standing in front of a huge murky swamp like lake that was indoors. It separate them from the door, but Adriel was not with them.
B[/b]ody jerked upright as the skeletal soldiers surround them. Before Dani manged to get off a single move with her own weapon, her mind and body twisted and spin in a wild vertigo. Soon she found herself kneeling within a tower, the stink of the nearby body of water. Running her fingers through her hair, she wondered in a fit of exasperation where they were now. In the tower that was spoken of? Well, it surely seemed like it. Bright amber hues shifted making sure the others were safely within as well, only to notice the
lack of the presence from the strange man who allowed them the safety of his home.
A[/b]gnes looked around as they reappeared, first and foremost was to count the people with them. "Adriel didn't come along?" She stated softly as she looked back to the bog. "How interesting." She stated softly.[/font]
