Zira spent most of her days wandering the streets of her home city of Gwendren, but when she caught wind of trouble in a library elsewhere, she just had to check it out! Zira was one who loved to read, books were nearly sacred to her so she had to help this poor man out. Making her way to this library, she stepped inside on this dark and moonless night and took a look around with her darksight lenses in. "Good evening..." She called out as she heard her words reverberate through the building.
"Hello, hello! I shall be with you momentarily!" Called a voice from what seemed a distance away. The library was vast, many shelves full of an assortment of books for every kind of reader. As she ran her fingers along a row of books, looking for certain titles, a man came up to her looking quite frantic. "Are you an adventurer answering my call for aid?" He asked quickly.
Zira nodded with a sweet smile as her bright cat like eyes eyed him for a moment. "That I am, sir. What seems to be the problem?" Knowing the problem was only the beginning, solving it was going to be the hard part. "It is in the sections below! There are two monsters that have been let loose, or created, or however they came be! I've locked them away in the area where we keep our rare books, but I'm not sure how long that steel door will hold them. I do not want them killed, or even harmed if it can be helped."
She raised a brow and moved to rummage through her rucksack. "I am not sure ... I will do my best to aid you, mi'lord." She said with a steep bow before she drew out a chain and made her way to the back. "Lead me down stairs and we shall see what I can do." The man followed after her quickly and nodded to her as he came up beside her before moving in front of her and making a quick left. She did so as well and followed him down a long spiraling staircase.
"So, you do not know how this, creatures came to be... in your library?" She could feel the air around the man tense and see his body do the same. "If I tell you, you must not speak a word of it." She stopped at the giant iron door, which loud screeches and hard pangs could be heard from. Giving him a nod and a cross of heart, she waited. "They are my sons!" Tears spilled from his eyes. "They must've come upon a book of spells and spoke one. It changed them. I am such a horrible father for letting them down here!"
The man was now in hysterics and she just nodded in understanding. "I shall do what I can not to harm them, sir. Please, head back upstairs. The last thing you want to have weighing on them when they are returned to normal is causing the death of their own father." His eyes widened at the thought and he nodded, running back upstairs. "Well, here goes nothing...." She mumbled to herself as she took a defensive stance, and let the door swing open....
