Agnes had dressed herself carefully as she pinned the scarf over her hair and smoothed the dark blue dress. She made her way through the city toward the Church. The dark eyes were kept down cast as she arrived, the beads in her hands as she waited a moment then stepped inside the beautiful church.
She stood silent for a long moment before allowing her eyes to rise up and study the interior of the building. She had spoken with Sal'vis and he explained a little about the Gods here. They were unlike those she had grown up with. She looked to the alter in the front of the chapel as she caught up the skirts and dipped herself into a low respectful curtsy.
The young lady moved forward slowly , no need to rush and one certainly didn't when it came to holy places such as this. She carefully seated herself within one of the pews. The softly spoken words of the prayer were given as she counted out the sins upon the beads within her hands.
The dark brown eyes watched the beads as they passed her fingers and sighed softly. Perhaps it was this way with all holy places that they.. felt .. the same. That eternal peace that seemed to soak into the soul as she lowered herself to her knees, upon the cushioned bar beneath the pew. Her head tilted forward as she spoke the soft pleas of forgiveness for the things she had done.
She harbored anger, she had killed , she had cast a creature to another plane. These were things while some would take as simple happenings. Agnes found they weighed upon her like a wool blanket. She whispered softly and slowly the torments of her soul as she began to count back the beads as she spoke of each to whatever divine ears may be listening.
