FeraIPrince: [Set the scene.....-slips IC-]
death of resolve: Arabelle Scar had one hell of a busy life; not only did
she have her duties in the Citadel, but the ones in the Compound, and then
sometimes she even had to go back to Empire to do her thing there. That
meant there was a lot of
death of resolve: traveling back and forth for the woman. That was why the
air was crackling with energy in the centre of the compound courtyard, after
a few seconds a tear in reality formed, and it wasn't long afterwards that
Ara stepped through.
death of resolve: She had been doing it for most of her life, so it took her
mere moments to gather her bearings, at which point she threw down her
backpack, kicked it clear across the courtyard and threw her arms up in the
sky in consternation.
death of resolve: There was really only one thing that could aggravate Ara
so much, and that was a man, but not any particular man - her Father.
Exhaling softly, she brushed her hair back from her face, and looked around
to see if anyone was there.
death of resolve: Fortunately, it looked quiet, at least.. for the time
being.
Tidal Reign: Indeed. How did Ara ever find time to scarf down those turkey
sandwiches? Zach was sprawled out across one of the benches in the courtyard,
seemingly napping. When the air crackled with energy he opened one eye, then
two, and turned
FeraIPrince: A soft chuckle, no more than a lingering note of humor set free
past parted lips, flowed through the undercurrent of activity. These melodic
notes, perfect in their meter and rhythm, came from a place slightly to the
rear and the
Tidal Reign: his head to peer in that direction. Oh, it was only Ara. "Let
me guess, somebody stole your food." It made sense. To him, anyway. And he
thought it was a good guess. Pushing to sit up now, he yawned and stretched,
a look of
Tidal Reign: amusement finding its way across his face.
FeraIPrince: left of Arabelle. When she would turn around, as people whom
hear something coming from a flank are sure to do, she would find the form of
none other than William. His body hanging in the air, swaying back and forth
slowly as if
FeraIPrince: stuck inside of the welcoming coccoon of an unseen hammock.
Right hand elevated so that as he tilted his wrist about in slow circut, the
deep red win within the wide based glass could swirl about and proper air.
"Greetings Lady
FeraIPrince: Arabelle, I trust that I do not intrude upon other affairs?"
He turned those wide azure orbs upon her, dancing with a playful tint and
rife with a feral sort of cunning.
death of resolve: She had obviously been so distracted, that she hadn't even
noticed Zach, nor William. Eventually, though.. both scents filled her
senses, and she turned to look between them both. Deciding to greet their
guest first, she turned upon
death of resolve: the heel of her boot, and settled her gaze upon the male.
There was a dip of her head in a nod, before she spoke. " Ara will do. " She
wasn't much of lady, at all. " Welcome back to the Compound, Ah.. William? "
She couldn't really
death of resolve: recall, the night of the attack was all a blur for her. "
You aren't intruding, at all. " Arabelle lifted her fingers and they snapped
together to signal the staff. Two women came from the main building, and
turned their attention
death of resolve: upon Arabelle. " Food, drink for all of us. Something
light. " She exhaled softly, before turning back to William. " What brings
you here today? " She asked as the women skittered off. After the question
had been voiced she turned
death of resolve: her gaze back to Zach. " Contrary to popular belief my
world does not revolve around food. " There was a reason for her mood, there
really was.. but Ara wasn't really known for sharing. [d]
Tidal Reign: Zach can vouch for that. In fact, he had to suppress a snort
when the gentleman addressed Ara as a lady. Legs were pulled up onto the
bench so that he could sit indian style across the surface, and he settled
for watching the
OnlineHost: FeraIPrince has left the room.
Tidal Reign: two. There was a time and place to be obnoxious, and as much as
he enjoyed poking fun of Ara he knew when to sit back and keep his mouth
shut. When the food and drink arrived he would occupy himself with that. A
cheeky grin was the
Tidal Reign: only response that he gave to Ara when she addressed his
comment from earlier. Uh huh. She can deny it all she like. He knew it was
true.
death of resolve: While William was .. doing whatever it was he went off
into a daydream, she turned her attention over to Zach. That grin made her
even more angry than she had been before - it really wasn't his fault,
though. " Not that its any of
death of resolve: your business.. but my son was kidnapped, by a man I
thought dead. " That man just happened to be his father, who had as much
rights to Jared as Arabelle did - unfortunately, she didn't see it that way.
Arabelle skulked over to one
death of resolve: of the benches and slouched down into it. " The entire
Empire is up in arms! My Father is being banished, my husband won't give my
son back unless it actually happens, and man.. if my Father leaves the way he
wants too. Then I'll be
death of resolve: forced to choose between my Empire and my Father. Do you
have any idea how difficult a choice that is to make? " That's when her
shoulders slumped, and her forehead met the table top.
OnlineHost: FeraIPrince has entered the room.
death of resolve: [ Ygm. Sent you what you missed. ]
FeraIPrince: [Damn dog...]
FeraIPrince: [Playing around pulling the wireless right outta the wall.....]
Tidal Reign: "....." It really was none of his business, so that would
explain the look of mild surprise on his face when she confessed all of that.
This was the first time she had ever said anything to him that didn't sound
like a remote threat
death of resolve: [ My dog does that with my headset. -.- ]
Tidal Reign: or something similar. Then again, it was usually his fault when
she did threaten him. "Oh. Sorry. I didn't know." It was a lame respones but
his mind was still processing what she had said. "So... why did he do it?
Take your son,
Tidal Reign: I mean." Now he was curious, because it sounded like a rather
complicated family affair to him.
FeraIPrince: William had simply vanished, his entire person flickering like
bad recpetion on a cheap hotel television set. After a moment he returned to
the here and the now, looking oblivious to the fact he had flcikered through
the fabric of
FeraIPrince: time and space. (Flaw: Flicker) Turning his head over to one
side, he slid out from where he hung in the air and set those booted feet
upon the ground. Silently prowling over to where the two Scar members sat
talking about the
FeraIPrince: current affairs of Arabelle. Holding his wine glass out to the
side slightly, he tucked his free hand into the small of his back and bowed
slightly to her. "My most generous hostess, I can do nothing else but offer
the title you so
FeraIPrince: deeply deserve." As he righted himself, one raven hued brow
arched slightly. "Though it would appear that in light of other matters,
those that which i came to discuss are of little importance." He hid that
cheshire grin behind
FeraIPrince: the rim of his wine glass as he sipped.
death of resolve: " I may have been responsible for the death of his whole
family. " She lifted her fingers, and left a little gap between them. " He's
just a little annoyed.. " Hated her with a firey passion, but that's
generally what happened
death of resolve: between Arabelle and her past lovers. Now William had
returned, she turned and regarded him for a moment. " If you insist on
calling me Lady, I'll be forced to put my daggers into as many orifices as I
can find. " She was the direct
death of resolve: sort, was Arabelle. " There's nothing I can do about it.
We've tried locating him, but he's gone off the grid. " She had been looking
for him, so her Father didn't have to leave. In the end, she'd had to come
home to update Evan and
death of resolve: Gabriel. " So, how can I help you, William? "
Tidal Reign: A brow arched as the man faded from view, only to flicker back
into existence after a moment. That was..odd, but also kind of cool. He shook
his head when Ara explained why she thought her son had been taken. That
would do it for
Tidal Reign: most people, he thought. Cheeks puffed up when she threatened
the man. He found it amusing, to say the least. He simply nodded, attention
shifting between the two while he waited for the food and drinks. What was
taking them so
Tidal Reign: long! It was awkward to be sitting here and twiddle his thumbs
since he had nothing to offer to the conversation really.
FeraIPrince: There was a slight shift in those eyes, orbs that always seemed
to shift in color and hue, running the gauntlet of various blues. It was not
so much the color this time that swirled, rather it was something behind the
color. A wild
FeraIPrince: spark of his true nature, the shadow form of a great feline
crossing his expression. With all the smiles, the courtly mannerisms, the
wine and laughter, people always seemed to forget William was far more than
he ever appeared. His
FeraIPrince: wide smile never faltered though, he was composed of more grace
and poise than to allow words to knock him from his stride. "My dearest
Arabelle, there is no call for such threats. I have only come to offer what
aid I may to
FeraIPrince: strengthen your folds." He raised up his wine glass to eye
level, giving it but another gentle swirl so his eyes could watch as the
wine's legs ran down in inside of the glass. "Though with such hostility in
the face of friendship
FeraIPrince: and an offered hand, perhaps those that wish to overtake you
are more befitting of such things."
death of resolve: Arabelle was very even with her stare, before she turned
to pat Zach on the shoulder. " This man is probably my best friend in the
multiverse, and I threaten him every day - don't I Zach? " He was her
faithful St. Bernard. Which
death of resolve: reminded her. " I have a gift for you! " Anyway, she went
back on topic, and returned her attention to William. " I don't stand on
parade for anyone, though your friendship.. and any aid you wish to offer to
Scar would be greatly
death of resolve: appreciated. We recognize strength and power. " It was
what they were created to assimilate, after all. " Another warrior to add to
our missions would never be turned away. " His final words amused her, and
she lifted herself from
death of resolve: the bench to approach him. Though, she didn't break any
personal boundaries - she hated it when people did that to her, especially
the ones that were always trying to hug her. " If I was really being hostile,
I wouldn't have warned
death of resolve: you first.. "
Tidal Reign: "A few times every day, let me remind you." He nodded slowly,
appearing quite serious. Though he would never openly admit that he was
pleased to hear Ara proclaim him as her best friend. Still, a grin tugged at
the corner of his
Tidal Reign: mouth. The St. Bernard comparison had already been brought up
in the Newsletter. Zach would rather be a St. Bernard than an Araphant! He
perked up a bit at the mention of a gift. "It better be something awesome."
He shifted on the
Tidal Reign: bench as Ara moved to approach the man. He recalled seeing him
with Mela the night of the attack, but he knew nothing more than that.
FeraIPrince: William heard every word that Arabelle spoke, though he took
them in dual fashions. The flesh of man, bowed his head to Zach, offered a
tip of his win glass in greeting. The animal, now stirring beneath, heard
that Zach was the best
FeraIPrince: friend, the one who would shoulder the toll should the need
arise. William turned his focus back upon Arabelle as he would shift his
weight slightly so that he could face her fully as he spoke. "Point well
received Lady Arabelle,
FeraIPrince: to show your hand is to lose the gamble. Your guild has made it
known that you are now accepting those that are not of blood relation. While
this serves to bolster your rank and file, it waters down the essence of what
I have heard
FeraIPrince: as well as seen of your organization over the years. My
question to you, is if you were to find one worthy of such, would you wish to
make them true members?"
death of resolve: His question was interesting, and she folded her arms over
her chest while she considered it. " While other organizations allow just
anyone to join their ranks, we are much more selective. We look for a
certain.. element in a
death of resolve: person before we invite them into the fold. Though they
aren't blood, we've spilt blood with them, we've taken lives and we've
celebrated our victories. They are family. Having said that.. " She exhaled
softly. " They would never
death of resolve: really be Scar. " She paused for a long moment, to answer
his final question. " The lands of Rhy'Din used to be littered with our kind.
Everything we came upon a warrior we thought worthy, we changed them to
reflect our blood - and
death of resolve: we were highly disappointed most of the time. Most of the
Scar clan have withdrawn back through the portals and into the Empire.. the
few that are here, are the only Scar remaining on non-Empire worlds. Becoming
a true Scar is an
death of resolve: odious task, and it would take something almost
astronomical to talk our Elders into allowing us to make one. They would be
subject to Clan rules, and most people falter when it comes to giving their
children, and grand children to
death of resolve: the cause. " Their God was a hungry God, and also a very
jealous one. " Still.. if there was something truly special about the
person.. It would be within my power. " She wasn't an Elder, but Command of
the Scar on Rhy'Din was hers.
death of resolve: [d]
Tidal Reign: A nod was returned to William as he sat there listening to
their conversation. There were a few things he noted with interest, such as
the definition of a true member. Suffice to say, Zach really didn't know much
about the Scars or
Tidal Reign: their traditions. A brow arched when he heard talk of giving
away children and grand children to the cause. All in all, it sounded
complicated. Funny, he had thought his own background was confusing. Then
again, this just proves
Tidal Reign: that there are many things in this realm, and others, that he
would never truly understand. But he was content with his life at the moment.
FeraIPrince: A mirad of different emotions danced along his expression,
mischief chief amongst them. William over his vast wanderings had been privvy
to witness many things, his voracious personal quest for knowledge and that
insatiable
FeraIPrince: curiosity took hi to places that at times could only be truly
defined as inhospitable had lead him to become a font of knowledge. "Come
now, dear heart. I have seen your papers cross my desk, I have laid witness
to the workings of
OnlineHost: An Immortal Kill has entered the room.
OnlineHost: seekthefallen has entered the room.
FeraIPrince: your mind. Your gift with the psionic way could lead to a very
tool for those found worthy. A spell, the key focus being the lifeblood of
none other than yourself. Use that innate knowledge that lay dormant in your
own and bind it
FeraIPrince: to theirs. Giving them the knowledge and the drive of a true
Scar. Altering just the base core of theirs, so that their blood becomes as
yours. However you test them, the end gift, which it would be, would be true
acceptance." A
FeraIPrince: slight smile and another sip of his wine taken as he looked
upwards, taking in the sky far above them. His next words spoken as if to
himself. "Save I would make a secondary spell that is fashioned to undo
what was done with the
FeraIPrince: primary."
An Immortal Kill: The sky would slowly come darker as a stray cloud moved
over the sun. Slow steps would bring the almost nine foot man towards the
compound. A brow rose above crimson hues as a hand moved upwards to scratch
at the back of his head,
An Immortal Kill: the light ringing of bells could be heard by anyone who
was excessively vigilant. Spiked hair made at least an additional foot to his
height, and small gold bells could be seen hanging from each spike. The white
tattered coat blew
An Immortal Kill: slightly in the sudden wind before the wind completely
stopped, and the cloud froze overhead in place, hiding the sun behind it. He
coughed once more before making his way further into the compound. Jarex
would look around a bit
An Immortal Kill: as his hand fell back to his side, resting on the edge of
the hilt of his sword. He'd been quite bored as of late, figured he might as
well find something to do. [d]
death of resolve: Arabelle looked highly amused, and she shook her head from
side to side. " A true Scar? Do you even really know the meaning of such? " A
brow arched with the question. She was born a Scar, and it had taken her
decades to actually
OnlineHost: seekthefallen has left the room.
death of resolve: figure out the fire that burned deep within her. It was
anger that drove a Scar and nothing more. The search for power seemed to be
particular to the line of Keiran, of which she was the only female. "
Changing a Scar is primal,
death of resolve: it is about the blood, rather than the mind. They have to
survive the process, which .. amounts to the destruction of whom they were
before to be made something new. Something better, and stronger and that's
only the physical
death of resolve: aspects. The mental training begins shortly afterwards. "
Arabelle had been subject to the Scar training at eighteen years old, and
she'd never been the same since. Her gaze faltered eventually though and
moved over to the

death of resolve: giant. The guards had not stopped him, which meant his
likeness had been given as a member of the guild. " Greetings. " She offered
- and then, just to make sure he was still awake - she slapped Zach around
the back of the head. [d]
Tidal Reign: The conversation was lost on him at this point. He had little
understanding of the clan itself, but the fact that he and Misty had been
given membership to the guild was enough to satisfy him. The appearance of
another in the
Tidal Reign: compound drew his attention, but before he could move to greet
the giant of a man Ara had slapped him. He made a face and pointed a finger
at her. "Hey, what was that for? And don't give me some crack pot excuse that
you just wanted
Tidal Reign: to make sure I was paying attention. You know you just wanted
to slap me for the fun of it." He expelled a huff before lifting off the
bench. "Araphant." He muttered under his breath before quickly moving out of
her range to
Tidal Reign: approach the newcomer. Hand lifted in greeting towards [
immortal ] and he nodded. "Hey there. How's it going?"
FeraIPrince: "The limits of your abiliy are not constrained by flesh, one,
or even time. Should you the desire, all you need but do is act." Turning
about on the heels of his feet, he cast his attention over.....and then
upwards. A slight tilt
FeraIPrince: of his head and a tipping of that glass of deep red wine given.
"Salutations my good man." As before, his free hand moved to the small of
his back so that he could give a polite albeit short bow. Once he had himself
righted, he
FeraIPrince: took a step or two backwards. Thus allowing himself to keep all
three of the others within his field of vision. After all, when he spoke to
another, he looked them in the eye and to turn one's back upon another in a
onversation was
FeraIPrince: mark of rude behavior, not likely forgiven.
An Immortal Kill: The guards weren't even given the time of day, he simply
passed them by and continued through. His eyes fell down upon Arabelle and
the group around her. His eyes moved to each of them individually before a
small lift of his hand
An Immortal Kill: would serve as his greeting to all that addressed him. The
hand was only held briefely above the sword before it dropped back down. A
breath was released through his nostils as the man looked down on all three,
still attempting to
An Immortal Kill: remember if he had, at any time, had any relation to any
of them. After a few moments, he concluded that he had never met any of them,
strange. Being around this long, you usually met everyone. Lips spread into a
smile that spread
An Immortal Kill: across his huge face. " Hello. " He said as his eyes
heightened, the scar that ran through it stretched even longer down the right
side of his face. [d]
death of resolve: She had not wanted to say it out loud, but.. there it was.
" My Lord Azael finds most unworthy of our blood. " She lifted her shoulders
in a shrug. Everyone's attention was upon the giant now, so she turned to
face him. " Arabelle
death of resolve: Scar. " She introduced herself. Okay, so maybe she hadn't
met this particular member, but .. man, he was a giant guy, who wouldn't want
that backing them up? Her gaze drifted back to William, and she tilted her
head a little. " Your
death of resolve: line of questions has sparked my curiosity. Was there a
bottom line to the enquiry? " She asked, before turning her attention over to
Zach. " You let me abuse you, so I do. " Honesty at its finest.
of stormy skies: Misty was trailing along behind, she was getting lazy
lately for some reason so she ended up coming to the compound a little later
than the rest. She really wasn't sure where she was going so, she followed
the sounds of life until
of stormy skies: she found the group gathered. A hand lifted to wave to
everyone casually. "Hey guys, sup?" She gave a light grin.
Tidal Reign: It wasn't everyday that you'd get to see a giant up close so
Zach studied the man with much curiosity before a grin found its way across
his face. "I'm Zach. What's your name, big guy?" Ara's words caused him to
look over his
Tidal Reign: shoulder at her, and he scowled. "Oh sure. I suppose you're
going to say that it's part of my new job desciption too huh?" Misty was
spotted and his attention shifted once more. Quick steps carried him over to
her and the grin
Tidal Reign: returned. "Hey there, sleepyhead."
FeraIPrince: "Bottom line? My dearst Arabelle, that is upon you. I merely
wished to vocalize things that had arisen about your ilk, with those it
pertained to." William was an odd sort, only giving as much as he felt when
he was so rarely
of stormy skies: Misty tilted her head a lil when she heard him say
something about his new job description, but arm went around his waist for a
hug when he came over. "Hey, kingy. What new job description?" She was
curious now, looking up at Zach.
FeraIPrince: inclined to do so. The fact remained unknown if he sought
membership to a guild or not. Or if he had any desire other than to simply
wander and learn. With another coming into the fray, he chuckled softly.
Always pleased when a
FeraIPrince: gathering turned into a horde of people, all with their own
thoughts and mannerisms.
An Immortal Kill: He looked down on them with the smile barely moving, a
small brow raising at the name before he shook his head slightly, the
jingling of bells heard once more. " Jarex Andre Halon Darkslayer. " He said,
returning the gesture the
An Immortal Kill: woman had given to him. He looked over his shoulder for a
moment to see Misty enter the room before he turned back to the other two.
Seeing that they had also been previously engaged in conversation, he moved
out of the way. His
An Immortal Kill: large form took a lean upon a wall of a building or fence
of somekind. Who knew, certainly not him. [d]
death of resolve: " It wasn't, but now I'm considering it. " She tilted her
head to consider what else she could make him do! She grinned lightly to
herself, before turning her attention back towards William." I think, if
you're welcome to the idea
death of resolve: of joining the ranks of the Scar, then you'd be more than
welcome. As I mentioned, we welcome those strong and worthy. " She paused,
and then said. " 'cept Zach, he just came with Misty. " She grinned lightly
and lifted her hand to
death of resolve: wave in the womans direction. They were finally joined by
the serving women, and their food which was placed on the benches, along with
pitchers of beer and cups to go with it. " Help yourselves. " She wondered
silently, where Evan

death of resolve: was - she hadn't felt his presence, yet. Turning again, to
the giant. " Well met Jarex, and welcome to Scar. Have you had chance to go
out on a mission yet? The next week we'll be concerntraining on training but
beyond that, there
death of resolve: will be much glory to be had, and much rewards. "
Tidal Reign: "That the Third in Command is subject to abuse by Ara." He said
to Misty, that grin widening as he wrapped his arm around her in return. Then
he nodded to the big guy once more. "Nice to meet you, Jarex." Zach knew he
wasn't going
OnlineHost: scarred design has entered the room.
Tidal Reign: to remember the giant's full name, so he concentrated on his
first name instead. "Please. I bet that was already decided when you gave me
the position. You were just too lazy to write it down. It's okay. We all knew
it in our
Tidal Reign: hearts that was coming." He said to Ara before making a face
when she said he only came with Misty. Oh well. He wasn't going to argue that
point. She knew he was useful on missions and such! Any other time, well...
yeah.
An Immortal Kill: " No, I just woke up the other day. " He said with a small
groan as a hand came back up to his neck and scratch it lightly. He nodded
lightly to Zach before his eyes moved back to Arabelle. " I'm sure that I
will enjoy the training
An Immortal Kill: while it lasts, I need a good stretching out. " He said
with a yawn, he was still tired, sadly enough. His skin even seemed to be a
slight blue tint as his body was still adapting to being awake once more. " I
got in an archery
of stormy skies: Misty had recognized Jarex from their archery match the
other day, and he had been the most successful in that foray. She offered him
a wave when he looked her way. Then to Zach she had been listening, and
chuckled. "Sounds like you
An Immortal Kill: match just after I awoke, but other than that I've pretty
much been walking around aimlessly. " He said with a slow nod, his hand moved
to wave towards Misty lazily. [d]
of stormy skies: agreed to it then. Of course, since when did you all need
it in writing you abuse each other anyway." Snickering some at him and giving
a knowing grin toward Araphant.
FeraIPrince: "I am flattered by the offer Lady Arabelle, and I will keep it
in the very front of my mind. An offer such as yours should not be taken
lightly nor made with haste." William would turn to those in audience, each
in turn and offer
FeraIPrince: a large smile and a slight tilt of his head. "Though currently
matters of the realm demand my fine eye for detail. I apologize from the
depths of my heart for this rather abrupt exit." [thanks for the rp
break....but back to site
FeraIPrince: work. Hopefully I can return later!]

death of resolve: Arablle was quite used to people just disappearing on her,
so she didn't look perturbed by the disappearance. Instead, her attention
was moved to the other three, and she grinned lightly. " She has a point
Zach. You did agree to
death of resolve: taking up the position. " Actually, she hadn't given him
much a choice in the matter - she'd just announced it, without his knowledge!
" I should buy you dog treats, and scratch you behind the ear when you've
been a good boy. " Paus
death of resolve: -ed. " Not that, that happens much. " She paused again
before turning her attention back up to Jarex. " We'll be covering Hand to
hand, ranged combat and mounted combat over the course of the week. We won't
have anyone who

scarred design: It was about that time that Evan appeared in the main entry
with the rather dubious task of taking the huge bin he'd brought back from
RhyDin and getting it into the kitchen. Fortunately, it was on

Misty chuckled and nudged him teasingly, thinking it kind of funny that a
water boy be candle king.
scarred design: rollers this time. While they had a great kitchen staff,
some of them simply preferred to keep eating modern fare, and so he often
spent evenings at home, making things and then delivering them back here.
Evan had been a little
scarred design: busy with Iona's birthday, so today it was pizza breads, and
curly fries. As he pushed the bin onward, he stopped to give them all a nod
and a wave as he passed. "Yo.."
Tidal Reign: "I must've been asleep when you asked me for my opinion." He
smirked. Imagine his surprise when he read the newsletter. He wasn't sure
whether to be happy or offended that she would compare him to a dog. "And
believe me, if that
Tidal Reign: should be my reward then you will find me behaving less and
less. He nudged Misty back gently for her comment. Kobolds were useful! He
had been ordering them around like servants and they seemed please to serve
him. So it was all
Tidal Reign: good. He waved to Evan when he spotted the man. "Hey there.
'Sup?"
An Immortal Kill: " I would not expect anything different. " He said with a
slow nod towards her. " You will find no shortage of enthusiasm from me when
it comes to a good fight. " He said with a small smile, his hand tapping the
flat hilt of his

candled kobolds under his thumb and not one candle-lit dinner to be had. Of
course the homecoming party kind of trumped all of that but hey, there wasn't
much that could top a
An Immortal Kill: flat end of the hilt of his katana* lightly. His eyes
would move over towards the new entry, a small nod sent towards the man
before he looked back. Ah, yes he had read that newsletter. ' with the
loyalty of a saint bernard '
An Immortal Kill: perhaps the smell and the bad habit of rolling in the mud
as well? Not to mention the drool. [d]
of stormy skies: Sea Queen's welcome, she found out. Then the curly fries
distracted her. "Hey what is that I smell?" It smelled good. "Oh and Hi
Evan." Finger wiggle wave.
death of resolve: Oh blessed Evan, the master of food, and in turn his
Aunt's heart. She turned when she felt his presence, and grinned lightly. "
How'd Iona like her birthday present? I saw her speech on the net. She did
quite well. " She then
death of resolve: looked back to Zach, and both eyebrows arched. " Well, in
the case of bad behaviour.. I'd have to punish you! And I don't believe in
safety words. " She broke out into a grin, before looking back up to the
giant. " Ah a good fight.
death of resolve: Does such a thing really exist? The ones I find most fun
are the ones where I can play really dirty. " And quite often did.
scarred design: He paused, leaning against the bin slightly. "Modern food.
Who do you think's been making it and bringing it here so we don't have to
eat roast pig and mutton every night?" He laughed a little. He was ready to
defend the food
An Immortal Kill: " I dunno, I've been sleeping for... bah, what year is it
around these parts... Too long. " He said twisting his neck slightly. [d]
scarred design: if Ara rushed it. "How are you guys, Zach, Misty? And new
fellow I haven't yet met?" A smirk tugged at his lips then. "She liked it
quite a bit, and as for the speech, yeah.. she did well." He coughed a
little, as if to clear
scarred design: his throat. "But.. she did must better after the speech,
when we were alone.."
of stormy skies: Misty curled up her nose at the very idea of roast pig and
mutton. Sounds like something a cyclops would eat.. no offense water boy.
"Mind if I snag a piece? I just woke up not long ago." She chuckled, quickly
putting the image of
of stormy skies: the one eyed's eating out of her head. "I'm good, how you
doing?" She answered Evan.
Tidal Reign: "Is there a reason why you were asleep for so long?" He asked
Jarex before snorting a bit at Evan's words about his wife's performance. Oh
boy. See, if he ever talked about Misty like that in public she'd light him
up like a
death of resolve: " I actually have no idea what year it is here. That.. is
a good question. Where is my time traveler when I need him? " In bed, as
usual. He was the lazy Scar. Evan's words brought a scowl to her lips, and
she pointed at him. " You
Tidal Reign: Christmas tree. Yet the amusement on his face couldn't be
concealed. And of course the two women's attention would turn to food. One's
an Araphant, and one's pregnant.
death of resolve: shouldn't talk about her like that when she isn't here to
tell us things about you, too! " A grin replaced the scowl, and the mention
of roast pig and mutton made her stomach growl. " Mmm, pizza.. " She knew
what it was, she could
death of resolve: smell it.
An Immortal Kill: " Meh. I got bored. " He said with a small shrug. " All
the good fights had been fought. " He sighed a hand coming upwards to scratch
at his cheek lightly. [d]
of stormy skies: He better not forget it either! Misty'd toned down quite a
bit on the zapping but she still wasn't above lighting up someone's life if
they got out of sorts. Well, at this stage of the game she probably shouldn't
even be craving
of stormy skies: junk, but when you had a mini litter things got just a bit
weird sooner.
scarred design: "I always bring extra, incase Aunt Ara catches me taking
this to the kitchen.. so I can throw some to the ground as I run away. She
usually stops long enough to inhale whatever I've left behind until I can
escape." Evan normally
scarred design: wouldn't dare say such things either, but she was staying on
Akorolon for a week, and by the time she got back, they would have all
forgotten about it! The lid on the bin was lifted, and he took a few of the
smaller boxes
scarred design: out. They weren't styrofoam, they were a biodegradable
cardboard - something that was probably contraband in a world like this, but
they'd thank him, he was sure of it. "Ok, ladies, food it is." They were
carried over and offered
scarred design: out. "I don't think the guards'll miss any, they're all
used to this old-world food.."
Tidal Reign: "Well there's a lot to do here so maybe it would hold your
interest for a while before your next hibernation." A quiet chuckle was
issued before he glanced over to Misty. There was food so she was probably
distracted. He wasn't
Tidal Reign: very hungry himself but he wasn't going to get in between a
pregnant woman and her food. "Man, I'm just glad the monsters we fight aren't
that smart. Otherwise we'd be leaving Ara behind everytime one of them threw
something at her
Tidal Reign: for her to eat." Though the idea was quite amusing. His grin
broadened at the mental image it produced.
scarred design: "That's my plan if we ever get in over our heads. Ok, Aunt
Ara.. just eat it so we can get outta here!"
of stormy skies: She unwrapped her arm from around Zach to take the pizza
and curly fries offered and beamed a smile at Evan. "Thank you!" Why the heck
was she so darn happy about a lil box of food and she opened it up and
immediately began gnawing
of stormy skies: on the pizza crust, listening to them talk. She chuckled.
"Yeah they might start using that as a decoy. Don't eat anything a troll, or
ogre gives ya. They like it rotten."
death of resolve: Arabelle wasn't going to take the bait, instead, she
simply took her box and returned to one of the tables. Seating herself, she
slowly started to devour the pizza, and the fries. There was nothing to say
to them! Nothing at all.
Tidal Reign: "Oh hey, where's my gift?" Didn't Ara say she had a gift for
him? Yes, the best time to ask for a gift was right after you insult someone.
He was so smart.
scarred design: "So, did we have guests, or did something happen?
Everyone's usually doing their own thing until food time, or if we're about
to go kill bad things. Are we? About to go kill bad things..?" He arched a
brow, curious..
death of resolve: " I just got home from Coras, and was looking for Gabriel.
Zach there was lounging, and making my courtyard messy. Then William stopped
by.. then Jarex came along, and then you. " She lifted her shoulders in a
soft shrug. " There is
death of resolve: a lockdown on missions! You know that. We're concertrating
on training for the next week. No killing things. "
of stormy skies: Misty was still there too, she was halfway through her
curly fries.. where had that pizza gone she was nibbling on? It was long
gone.. in the abyss of her belly. Kinda looking for another serving but not
yet saying anything. Perhaps
of stormy skies: she'd sneak off to the kitchen and raid that while they
weren't looking. Yeah.. that was a plan. Sneak, sneak. [ I gtg =( I'll be
back later hopefully ]
death of resolve: [ byes! ]
scarred design: "William? The guy from the other night with the.. dancing
on the ceiling with Mela?" [see ya!]
OnlineHost: of stormy skies has left the room.
death of resolve: " Yeah, that guy. He was asking about Scar, and why we
don't just change the people in the guild so we keep the thing pure. " She
grinned lightly, before she chomped on a fry.
Tidal Reign: He blinked when Misty snuck off to look for more food.
"Gods...the three O's must eat a lot. All Misty's been doing is eating, and
eating." He flopped back down on a bench and stretched himself out across.
Since Ara didn't answer
Tidal Reign: his question about his gift, he figured she was peeved from his
comment about the monsters using food to keep her at bay. He still didn't
understand the conversatioin that went on between her and William earlier so
he decided to
Tidal Reign: just relax for now.
An Immortal Kill: He shifted lightly on the wall he was leaning on, his eyes
moving to the sky to make sure that cloud was still covering the sun, though,
it obviously was, as he wasn't on fire. He nodded slightly to himself before
moving to look
An Immortal Kill: back around the group once more. [d]
scarred design: "Holy shit, really? What did you say?" He seemed rather
shocked at that, and decided to explain his reaction, looking to Zach. "Not
that you guys don't have the ability to fit in. You're skilled and able
warriors, but the rules.
scarred design: If you weren't born into the rules.. I don't think it'd be
an easy thing to adapt to.."
death of resolve: " I tried to explain that taking the blood was a terrible
thing, but he didn't seem convinced. " She lifted her shoulders in a soft
shrug. " I don't know, Evan.. Freya managed to fit in well. " She didn't even
bring up his mother.
Tidal Reign: "You mean your clan rules? Yeah, I heard Ara say something
about children and grand children. So I take it the rules for a Scar are very
strict?"
scarred design: "Granny-Freya's... different." He shrugged, moving to take
a seat. "Yeah. RhyDin, the world the Order's on, isn't our world. Where
we're from.. a lot of worlds, all under the Empire. Our family's kind of
famous, well-known. We
scarred design: spend time on worlds like RhyDin to learn how to live
without our name and reputation to rely on. That's how you guys met me.
Anyway, the Empire sends it's scouts across the multiverse. They find
worlds, invade them, and add them
scarred design: to the Empire. Our God and the most powerful supernaturals
among us, slay their deities.. while our God takes their power for Himself."
His fingers started to lightly drum on the surface of the table. "Certain
worlds, like
scarred design: RhyDin, can't be controlled by any one single god, since
it's at a Nexus in the multiverse.. that's why it's safe for us to go there
without the people of our world taking notice, and one day sending the armies
in.."
death of resolve: Arabelle grunted softly, and just consumed her food. She
didn't feel very powerful anymore. Taking the last of her fries, she finished
them off before looking up to the pair. " Its a hard life. Most Rhy'Dinians
wouldn't even know
death of resolve: where to start, even with guidance. It changes everything
about you, and brings out certain parts of your psyche that you may not even
have known where there. Evan and I were born in, so its not as hard for us.
Still, before we
death of resolve: reach a certain age, we live off impulse alone. Some of us
screw up more than others.. "
scarred design: Cough.
An Immortal Kill: He shook his head lightly, listening into their little
speech as his eyes closed and he dug himself further into the wall. [d]
Tidal Reign: "Wow." It was a lot to absorb so he remained quiet for a spell.
Eventually questions started to form in his head. "So I take it you don't
have a choice? I mean, let's say the Empire wanted to invade a certain world,
you wouldn't be
Tidal Reign: able to go against it? And with everything that you said about
the rules and such, I suppose you wouldn't be able to leave it either huh? So
what was that bit about giving your children and grand children to the cause?
Ara had
Tidal Reign: mentioned it earlier, but I don't really understand it."
scarred design: "We have a choice to not join the military, but.." Evan
really didn't see that as an option, so he glanced to Ara for a moment, and
then back. "Either way, not really. You could appeal, for whatever reason..
but the answer you'd
scarred design: get would be along the lines of This is best for their
world. We bring education, medicine, power blah blah blah.. and once you're
in, you follow orders, you know? If they point me at a guy and say he's an
enemy of the Empire, I
scarred design: have to do my thing." He waved a hand, absently. "You
can't leave once you sign up, until your term is up. The Empire worlds are
all.. beautiful places. We have no poor, we have very little crime. The
environments, even on
scarred design: industry-heavy worlds, are cared for. But, there's a price
to pay, for such peace and stability. A lot of the Great Houses were built
up from money gained as spoils of war, such as ours.."
An Immortal Kill: " If there wasn't a whole... no choice thing in it, and
their outwardly reasons weren't power, education, and medicine, randomly
going to places and taking over sounds like a lot of fun. " Shrugged slightly
before shifting once more
An Immortal Kill: on the wall. He released a breath slowly. [d]
scarred design: "Well, you do have a choice. You can not sign up for
service." To be fair, he had to add that..
death of resolve: " Ha, but apparently .. even if you're following orders,
you can be held accountable for your actions. " Arabelle scowled softly, and
tugged one of the plates of cheese and crackers the staff had brought out
earlier. She started to
death of resolve: mutter under her breath while she ate, but it was on a
totally different topic to the one that was currently going on.
Tidal Reign: "So how long is your term of service?" Zach was of a different
opinion than Jarex. He didn't think randomly going places to take over was
fun. It sounded too much like bullying. Then again, he didn't know the real
reasons behind the
Tidal Reign: invasions. But he was pretty sure not everyone would want
education and medicine in exchange for their freedom.
scarred design: "There's a four year term. Eight year, with the option to
renew, is the most common. That's probably what I'll end up doing. My
Father's been in since before my older sister was born. My Grandfather
served for nearly a century.
scarred design: It's a family thing. You can't be born a male Scar and not
join. I mean.. you can, but.." He laughed a little, shaking his head.
"What new-person over there said is how most people feel.. wondering why we
don't just leave other
scarred design: people alone. I guess, what you have to understand, is that
our God is a God of War. He always has been, and from the moment He killed
the last member in His pantheon, He's looked outward for conquest. You can
tell Him it's
scarred design: wrong, but it would be like telling a storm not to strike a
barn with lightning because of all the poor cows inside. He's a force of
nature, just like anything else. He views other gods as false, and their
followers as heathens.."
scarred design: [afk a moment]
death of resolve: " The women, by the way. Are supposed to stay at home and
have the babies. " She grunted softly, and chewed on another cracker. " I
served, too. I was the first female Scar to sign up willingly. 'course, I
don't anymore. I have
An Immortal Kill: Hearing the inclusion of a god now into the story he
instantly understood. A slow nod came down and a small smirk came, as he
remembered back to before he fell asleep, when he had fought every mortal
worthy of fighting, and turned
death of resolve: another position. " She was one of those supernaturals
that went in and helped kill the Gods. Though, she hadn't been doing that
much since her last incident.
An Immortal Kill: to fight Khaos himself. Was a great fight, good memories.
He shook his head. " The last god I served under... Is now dead. " He
shrugged slightly. [d]
Tidal Reign: "So it's like you have a choice, but you really don't. A family
thing huh? I guess I'm kind of glad that I don't have to concern myself with
that. I don't have to live up to anyone's expectations except for my own. I
might not know
Tidal Reign: the path I want to take yet, but for me and Misty that's all
irrelevant right now. Given that there are many Gods where we come from, I
can understand that it's pointless to try and change their mind once they've
decided on
Tidal Reign: something. So, are the rest of your family close? Since you and
Ara seem to be." He glanced over to Ara when she explained the role of the
women. "So women who don't sign up are stuck doing that instead?" If that was
the case then
Tidal Reign: he could see why she signed up! Zach couldn't imagine Ara just
sitting at home to tend to household chores and popping babies. Attention
turned to Jarex now. "Did you uh..kill him?"
scarred design: "Yeah, and that's the one thing we can't get away from.
Other people can tell their gods to piss off, but we don't really have a
choice in that unless we want to lose everything. Friends, family, home."
He frowned over at Ara,
scarred design: shaking his head slightly. "That's not entirely how it is.
Aunt Becca signed up before either of us were born, and there have been many
female Scar warriors throughout history. It's the ones that marry Scar males
that are
scarred design: generally expected to sit home and do the baby thing." Evan
shook his head in regards to Zach's question. "No, not all. I mean, in a
fight, Scars go together like glue, but there are are deep issues in the
family. My Mother
scarred design: hasn't spoken to my Grandfather in a long time. My
Grandfather hates my Great-Grandfather and his Father. My sister's sort of
given my Dad's plan for her the finger, married a guy and got pregnant." He
chuckled. "Family meetings
scarred design: are tense. There are rivalries. My Uncle Jonas is the only
one no one dares to piss off." For a moment, he turned to peer at Jarex,
before giving a nod. "We tried that, once. He didn't stay dead.."
death of resolve: " Becca was forced to sign up, there is a difference,
nephew. " She narrowed an eye on him, and shook her head before pushing
herself onto her feet. " As much as I love talking about my family. " The
look on her face said
An Immortal Kill: " You could say I injured him enough for someone else to
come and... finish the job. " He said with a small smirk and a shake of his
head. " Fucker stole my kill. " He said as his hand pushed into a fist and
shoved into the wall.[d]
death of resolve: otherwise. " There is another Scar I want to give my
particular attention. " She nodded to Jarex. " Welcome to the compound. "
Zach was thwapped again, and thats when she moved to collect the backpack
she'd field goaled earlier that
death of resolve: day.
An Immortal Kill: He nodded slightly towards her with a small smile towards
her. " It was nice talking to you. " He said nodding before he shrugged. "
Probably a good idea for me to get out of here as well. Find me a fight or
something to stave off
An Immortal Kill: this terrible boredom... " [d]
Tidal Reign: "Yeah, I can understand that. About not wanting to lose your
friends, family and home. So then your wife would be expected to sit at home?
And your kids would be expected to follow the family tradition and sign up
for
Tidal Reign: service?" After their explanation he understood a little better
now. You don't get to choose the family that you're born into. At least for
Evan and Ara, Zach hoped they were making the best of it. He swatted at Ara's
hand when she
Tidal Reign: thwapped him again. Then nodded to her. "See ya. I should
probably go find Misty too. She's probably still in the kitchen."
scarred design: Ara was given the finger, and Jarex a nod. "The wife can
sign up. It isn't all just charging in. There are pilots, not so much a
navy, but a small one. Technicians. Medics. Thousands of jobs, especially
if you have the skills
An Immortal Kill: " Highly skilled decapitator? " Raised brow before he
chuckled and shook his head lightly.
scarred design: for it. I guess Ara paints it mostly in a negative light,
and the way I probably explain it doesn't do it justice. I'm not like..
tortured at the idea of things. I love my life. I started at an Academy
when I was six. For ten
scarred design: years, I got to study things like fencing, combat tactics,
survival skills.. along with all the normal academic subjects. I was popular
in school, had a lot of friends. My Mom's amazing, my Father is feared
throughout the Empire
scarred design: and hailed as a war hero. And, as I said, the Empire is a
beautfil place, filled with amazing sights where people are really happy.
It's not a fake, controlled, put on a smile or die thing. Our family has a
lot more in the way of
scarred design: rules and laws than the Empire. It's to keep this level of
excellence." He rose as well, since it was do-your-own-thing time. "I need
sleep anyway. Iona was.. very pleased with her gift.."
Tidal Reign: Jarex's words caused him to grin a little. "Do you write that
on your resume?" Though if he did, that would be pretty awesome. "Well, the
way you two speak of it I'm sure the Empire has its faults, but it's home.
And it does sound
Tidal Reign: like a pretty cool place if you overlook those things. I like
Earth, but I just found out I wasn't even born there. Still, there are things
there, and memories there that I will always cherish. And your family sounds
pretty
An Immortal Kill: " I have never had to write a resume. " He said with a
small shrug. " If I did, that would be one of the first things I would place
on it. " He said with a nod. " Literally centuries of experience. " Grinned a
bit at that. [d]
Tidal Reign: awesome too. Except for Ara. She doesn't count." He hopped off
the bench and gave a quick wave to the trio. "I'll catch you guys later." And
he chuckled at what Jarex said before setting off.
Tidal Reign: [ See ya! ]
death of resolve: " I don't paint it in a negative light at all. I love my
Empire, but you've had it easy, Evan. " Arabelle lifted her shoulders in a
shrug, and cast her bag over her shoulder. " Later, dude. " She tried to kick
Zach, but missed! " I
death of resolve: knew you'd be a good addition, Jarex. I can't wait to see
what you do in battle. " With that, she kicked Evan in the shin to satisfy
her blood lust, then fled into the main building and towards her room.
OnlineHost: Tidal Reign has left the room.
An Immortal Kill: He chuckled a bit at that and began to move away from the
compound. " If you ever need a sparring partner, come and find me. " He said
plainly before the cloud moved with his steps, so that a shadow would forever
fall upon his being
An Immortal Kill: no rays ever touching his body. [d]
OnlineHost: An Immortal Kill has left the room.
scarred design: Evan sat there, alone. With a hurt shin..
death of resolve: Somewhere, Arabelle was laughing at him.
death of resolve: Arabelle Scar had one hell of a busy life; not only did
she have her duties in the Citadel, but the ones in the Compound, and then
sometimes she even had to go back to Empire to do her thing there. That
meant there was a lot of
death of resolve: traveling back and forth for the woman.
Her gaze faltered eventually though and
moved over to the
OnlineHost: of stormy skies has entered the room.
death of resolve: giant.

OnlineHost: FeraIPrince has left the room.
death of resolve: [ Thanks for p-- too late. ]
of stormy skies: [ haha ]
An Immortal Kill: [ -nomnomnom- Mmm horse steak. ]
OnlineHost: JBBourgeoislsu has left the room.
Tidal Reign: [ XD ]
death of resolve: Arablle was quite used to people just disappearing on her,
so she didn't look perturbed by the disappearance.
We won't
have anyone who
death of resolve: represents our name, resting on their laurels. "
scarred design: It was about that time that Evan appeared in the main entry
with the rather dubious task of taking the huge bin he'd brought back from
RhyDin and getting it into the kitchen. Fortunately, it was on
of stormy skies: "Now now, he's no dog. But.. might I suggest candles."
" He said with a small smile, his hand tapping the
flat hilt of his
of stormy skies: Misty grinned at the response, and after all of those
candled kobolds under his thumb and not one candle-lit dinner to be had. Of
course the homecoming party kind of trumped all of that but hey, there wasn't
much that could top a
An Immortal Kill: flat end of the hilt of his katana* lightly. His eyes
would move over towards the new entry, a small nod sent towards the man
before he looked back.
