Modest Jade: Off the coast of Gwendren a mysteriousy ship was spotted. When
the ship rammed into the dock it was discovered that there was nobody on

Modest Jade: Hands were requesting assistance from some very brave citizens
to assist them. The group will meet at the dock to meet the Dock Manager.
Modest Jade: You have 5 minutes to RP
echo my desire: Roxxi had been creeping about for some time, but only had
recently joined RaS and taken up residence for the time being at the Pale
Horse. Though this evening, she'd gone to the capital city of Gwendren,
hunting something that one
LatishaM00nSt0rm: ::the lone white wolf would arrive at the place wearing
her full plate mail armour, with her family coat of arms etched and engraved
in the front and a fire phoenix etched and engraved in the back, the body of

was then she'd heard the gossip and rumor of a ship that hit the docks
without a captain or crew. This intrigued the woman, and so she made her way
down to the docks to see
LatishaM00nSt0rm: gold and is surrounded by white gold flames, her fur is
the purest of white, like the winter snow, and her ice are that ice blue, on
her shoulder can be seen sitting her fire phoenix Familar, ixen, hilted at

tempered winds: Bravery could also be defined as stupid or reckless, but
nevertheless John showed up tonight. His blades were sheathed in a crisscross
fashion against the small of his back and his adventuring pack was slung over
one shoulder. Reaching the dock, he'd offer a quick wave to those already
present, followed by a light grin. He was glad he wasn't the only one!
"Evening, everyone."
the rakish blade: The half-elf arrived on the dock shortly past the
indicated hour sheathed within a heavy cloak, its hood pushed back as he
gazed about for anticipated companions, and of course the dock manager. The
former spotted, a nod was sent

long red hair, she stayed off to the side near the meeting place, turning
black eyes ringed with a thin line of red, back and forth as people began
showing up. A light lick
the rakish blade: their way before he continued to scan the dock. No doubt
someone would arrive before long to send them on their way.
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: ::She would arrive in a swril of shadows as was her
customary way of travel, and she would be wearing her usual raven black
cloak, embroideried with alternating gold and silver dragons along the edges,

much like a snake would do as it tasted the wind, such did the Setite do as
she stood relaxed, clad all in tight black leather, with a whip hung at her

echo my desire: "Good evening." Her accent was definitley not kh'ronish,
some ancient tongue, but clearly understood.
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: those elven features, long ebon locks flowed freely down
her back, and dark emerald hues would look around as she offered only that
dark twitsted tainted smile on her black lips, that stood out against her
pale white elven skin,
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: that smile was offered to the others that seemed to gather
at the docks, her sword hilted at her side, daggers hidden on her person, and
her bow and quiver with arrows strapped to her back, she was ready for an
adventure:: (D)
LatishaM00nSt0rm: ::She would offer that wolfish smile:: Goodevening ::She
would reply in a rough raspy voice, letting out a low friendly growl in
greeting as she made her way to the docks:: (D)
tempered winds: "I wonder where the Dock Manager is." He shifted the pack on
his shoulder and looked around after greeting the others.
Modest Jade: Standing at the end of a dock was a weather worn middle aged
dock worker. He had brown dirty hair that was mostly held under his hat,
brown shirt and pants with rain boots. All of which were speckled with water
droplets. With sunken
Modest Jade: eyes he watched the group approach. He made his way to them
assuming they were the brave citizens. He lifted his chin in greeting to
them. "So, uh, yer the brave bunch is yuh?"
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: ::She would offer only that dark twisted smile of hers as

XxShad0wD3m0nxX: (D)
the rakish blade: "Evening, indeed." Murmured to those who had gathered,
noting each in turn with an arched brow. Then a nod at the man who mentioned
the Dock Manager, his own thoughts running the same course. "Ah, I suppose
this would be
the rakish blade: he."
tempered winds: "The brave bunch, yes. That would be us." A look of
amusement passed over his features for a brief moment and he glanced over to
each of his companions before turning his attention back to the man. "What
seems to be the problem?"
Modest Jade: "Well, okay then." He glanced around and saw some of the other
dock workers with their backs turned to them almost as if they were
intentionally trying to ignore them. They were trying to find things to
occupy themselves and if one
Modest Jade: looked hard enough they would notice one man picking up some
rope from the dock, and another unwraveling it again so that they seemed
busy. "Well, you see that ship there?" He pointed to the cargo ship with the
name 'Fortuna'
Modest Jade: written in big black block letters along the side and a mermaid
with hair splayed out decorating the front. "That ship...the Fortuna..." He
stopped for a second when he glanced in that direction and looked away
quickly. "Well, you
the rakish blade: Vague amusement flickered in dark eyes as he looked past
the manager to study the other workers upon the dock
the rakish blade: (ack)
Modest Jade: see, the crews gone. All o' them. Even the Cap'n. Gone. The
ship crashed into the docks a'cause no one lay anchor or tied her up, no crew
an' all." He paused to judge their reactions before continuing.
LatishaM00nSt0rm: ::She listened intently to the man that addressed them her
wolven ears flicking this way and that, as her tail swished back and forth
behind her, her ice blue hues would move to gaze upon the ship the man was
pointing to and then
LatishaM00nSt0rm: gaze returned to them as she continued to listen to him::
gone you say? like just vaished? or killed? ::her curiousity was piqued:: (D)
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: ::She would listen intently to him and looked upon the ship
that dark smile of hers only grew more dark and sisnter as her gaze went back
to the man to listen to what else he had to say she took note of the workers
that seemed
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: spooked and then hearing the mans words she only got more
excited:: (D)
echo my desire: She remained silent since she gave her greeting, and was
watching each person who stepped forward as part of this brave bunch. Each
one studied for a moment, until she finally pulled her attention to the man
that was speaking to
tempered winds: The other workers on the dock did not go unnoticed, but his
attention remained fixated on the Dock Manager. Something was up, obviously.
Otherwise they had no reason to be here. A nod was issued when he pointed to
the cargo ship, and it was only then that John diverted his gaze. "So we are
to investigate?"
echo my desire: to them. Hands slipped behind her back, clasped against the
small of her back as head tilted just slightly as now she studied the ship
Fortuna. "Has anyone been aboard since it crashed or has it been left as it
was when it hit?"
the rakish blade: as they pretended at a variety of tasks, though why they
were doing so made Averion more than a little suspicious. He had his own
thoughts on the matter, but remained silent while others posed their
questions, certain that one of
the rakish blade: them would ply answers from the man.
Modest Jade: Seeing that he still had their interest and saw the situation
he continued. "No, nobody has gone aboard. My men. They's good men and they
does good work but theys believe no crew be a bad omen. It is a bad omen, I
tell you. Nobody
Modest Jade: gunna go aboard. Theys all..whats the word....superstitious.
With bad omens they don't want ta bring home anything bad to their wives and
kids, yanno? I was hopin' you go aboard, look around, let us know whats on
board. I can pay
Modest Jade: yuh. Yuh can take anything yuh find on the ship. We don't want
it....what you say?"
the rakish blade: Ah, the superstitions of sailors. Well, he could
understand them in this case. It was certainly a bizarre happening, and he
assumed the entire crew hadn't simply hopped overboard one day for a swim and
never come back. Eyes swept
LatishaM00nSt0rm: ::She would offer a low growl at his words:: im in! ::She
would look around to the others, her tail now wagging vigorisouly behind her
excitedly:: (D)
the rakish blade: over the others for a moment to gauge reactions before he
spoke up, nodding to the affirmative. "Poke around a ship for a few minutes,
get paid for it.. what's the worst that could happen?" Famous last words.
tempered winds: "Well, I can certainly understand why nobody wants to go
aboard. That's just creepy." He mumbled quietly to himself before looking
around at the others. "We might as well, since we're already here."
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: ::She offered only that dark tainted smile on her face as
she spoke in that errie voice of hers:: sounds like fun to me, im game! ::She
would offer the wolf a playful wink:: (D)
echo my desire: "Let's go then." Her hands fell to her side and she moved
towards the ship. She wasn't afraid of superstitions and the like, it would
take a hell of a lot to scare this woman (Skill: Fearless) so onward she
went, even if that meant
echo my desire: that she was going on the ship first. Her hand moved to the
blade at her side opposite the whip, and without a sound it was unsheathed
and she began to prowl and move aboard.
Modest Jade: The ship was just over yonder, but no plank had been set up to
get aboard with. Now, came the question of how were they going to get on
board? Please make either an Acrobatics check or an Athletics check by
rolling a 1d20. DC to
Modest Jade: succeed is 15.
the rakish blade: A frown found its way onto his lips as he studied the ship
in question while approaching it, realizing after a little study that there
was no clear way aboard. Well, he had hope and it looked like the craft was
scalable. Without
the rakish blade: further delay he leapt from the edge of the dock, hands
extended to find something to grasp onto so he could haul himself up. [

he got aboard. "Hey, handsome, get ready to catch me if I fall!" They were a
team at least for
echo my desire: a little while right? So she could ask for team favors? She
watched rakish to make sure he heard and was ready to catch her. She was good
at a lot of stuff, jumping and rolling and running.....was not one of them.
tempered winds: John still had his own reservations about the whole
situation, but since he was already here he wasn't going to turn back without
at least putting some effort into this. Following the woman, he proceeded
towards the ship and tried to look for a way to get on board. Since everyone
was jumping, he did too. [ Athletic +5 ]

the rakish blade: The rope was hauled back up and coiled once again, hidden
back away inside his cloak. "My apologies, I haven't had to catch someone
leaping off of a dock in quite some time." And then he turned on heel,
having himself a look
the rakish blade: around the deck.
tempered winds: "Everyone okay?" Once he was on board he waited for the two
who fell into the water to climb up using the rope.
echo my desire: She turned to the other lady making a joke, and was very
glad it was for the furry and not her, or Roxxi might very well toss her over
and let her find out just how good the swim was. She bowed slightly to
Averion. "Thank you for
echo my desire: your quick thinking with the rope." And then she made sure

others, they were on the deck. The deck had a few random crates but nothing
significant. There were no traces of anyone aboard, just a large amount of
ropes, cannons, powder,
Modest Jade: and a few piles of cannon balls stacked up. Further up the deck
they will notice the Helm and a large enterance that led below decks.
tempered winds: "Good. Let's see what we can find out for the Dock Manager
then." He moved across the deck, poking at the crates and looking for
anything out of the ordinary. "Hard to believe that a whole crew would just
go missing."
XxShad0wD3m0nxX: ::She would go check out the crates first to see what was
in them if she could find anything in them:: (D)
echo my desire: She moved over towards the crates as well, and peered around
at them, searching to see if anything of interest was on them. She grabbed up

Modest Jade: When the crates were opened they found a bunch of mundane
items. In Roxxi's crate there was some rope, a hatchet, and a jug marked with

was half carved
Modest Jade: into a doll as well as a bunch of crudely made dice with
leather cups.
echo my desire: "Mmm." She stuck her tongue out again, tasting the wind just
as they might sniff the air. Peering down into the crate she'd opened, she
tugged out the rope, the hatchet and the jug of moonshine (haha) or whatever
it was and tucked
echo my desire: it into the nearly empty pack upon her back. And then she
headed for the door to head down below.

tempered winds: "Guess I'll cover our rear. Just in case." Since the others
had already started heading down, he let everyone pass before following after
them. He wasn't sure what to expect but at least this way he could keep an
eye out for attacks coming from behind. Darkness wouldn't faze him since he
had the ability to see in the dark.
LatishaM00nSt0rm: ::She would follow the bunch and stayed in the middle of
the group as they headed down below:: (D)
Modest Jade: As they moved below decks they could feel the ship moving back

There were no lights lit below decks, but luckily daylight was still upon
them so the light
Modest Jade: shone in allowing them to see at lowlight. When they got below
they did not find much else either. No obvious rotting body smell, no strange
sounds. In fact, it was calm.
echo my desire: "Odd." Roxxi spoke softly when they'd gotten down below
deck, and she peered around. It was not a tiny ship, so she headed to see if
there were any other areas, perhaps where cargo would be kept, or cannons, or
some such other

Modest Jade: As John's eyes adjusted to the darkness he would notice five
