William, the rsident Psion and alluring feline. Pam and I have been playing

here I am, doing what I can, for the love of role play. Magic was my first
task, races my second, and I have a few other things Pam and myself are
working on. With that

FeraIPrince: Say William is in a fight during one of our
adventures.....William is a psion through and through....but yo may only use
one "regged" spell per combat. Meaning my the spell i have regged called
"Magnum Opus" i can only use once. As
FeraIPrince: these writen out spells have greater effects and greater chance
of damage or effect than a normal attack
FeraIPrince: HOWEVER
FeraIPrince: you may at any time have magical effects that are not "regged"
spells

before I said you had to have a spell for EVERYTHING.... this isn't the case.
you only need a spell for your one regged spell. Otherwise you can do as you
please, as

psionic based and roll my normal dice.

Halo of Noire: That is up to the GM. If it's not an official regged spell
....it's up to the GM what the effect is. It certainly would not
affectanother PC though that has a weakness unless that PC says that it will.

understanding...you may fire away
Halo of Noire: You guys use the ? way we used to do it so we know you have a

TarnishedWarlord: Oh, by the way...Just an FYI for those looking at the
magic page, and Halo mun.....You accidently mixed up the Gles'ni and Grinja
ranks on the magic page.

FeraIPrince: I would say that in regards to another PLAYER to get the
weakness perk to damage..it has to be regged spell
Halo of Noire: fixed
TarnishedWarlord: Well, Lithel has a really big weakness to salt........and
Fire is bad for him too. So anytime those are used on him I play it out like
he takes extra damage.....
FeraIPrince: the player may play it out as such, but no extra dmg is done
unless it is a rgged spell.
Halo of Noire: And that's fine, just state it in the chat so GM knows to do
it, but that is mun choice unless it's a regged spell, or with a weapon with
a regged thing on it such as silvered against a lycan.
FeraIPrince: We are trying o keep things fair across the board
FeraIPrince: Unstable, did you get your answer?

FeraIPrince: Scarred, your question if you would.
scarred design: What's the aid to defense? Will there be skills and/or
items that can boost saves, so that non-magic types aren't helpless against
spells with a massive effect? If there already are some, I probably just
missed it/them.

FeraIPrince: There are some skills "Iron Will"
scarred design: Iron Will, Lightning Reflexes, and the Fortitude one?
scarred design: I probably just glossed over that last time I looked. I

Halo of Noire: there isn't a fortitude one that I know of. But there are
three levels of Iron Will, plus you will be able to buy things from the
Emporium that will aid in willpower.
scarred design: Does Willpower save from all magic types?
FeraIPrince: Yes
scarred design: Alrighty, cool.
FeraIPrince: Despite the fact we have it in different types...magic is still
magic. Be it psionic or arcane

Ginger Complex: Damage +/- (+: Attack / -: Defense): 1 means like at that
rank only "+1" to damage and defense, right? My question is---what if
someone came in at a higher mage rank say your a grand magi in the academy
and Abet'zi in rank Do you
Ginger Complex: get the +4 from grand Magi or does it "max out" at +1?
FeraIPrince: The academy standings only come to stand while in academy
bouts. As in a no bull, academy on academy spar or match
Ginger Complex: So the academy bonuses do not apply on adventures?
FeraIPrince: in all other situations, spar, quest, adventure, etc you are
limited to rank's power only

Ginger Complex: All right so in an adventure you might get +2 but in the
academy +4

has a number for defense.
FeraIPrince: Well truth be told Death, you do not have to join the academy.
You can do as you like. Though there may be times where an adventure is run
only for those in the academy
Halo of Noire: let's save the academy boosts for another class and JUST
focus on how to do magic i fthat's ok?

spell for attack, or for defense ginger

FeraIPrince: I personally was not going to have William in it, but Melantha
has a way of asking nicely.
Halo of Noire: they are meant for adventures....who said they werent? >.<
FeraIPrince: What's the point in being in a clan or guild?
TarnishedWarlord: Remember guys, not everything has to boost your
attacks/defense/character power to be relivent, or fun in a game. At some
point, to many boosts and what not just makes the game to watered down, and
some characters who dip their
TarnishedWarlord: hands in lots of things would be way more powerful than
needed.

Magical Affinity skill. What.. can you do with that?

Halo of Noire: You don't get the mage class bonus, but you still write
spells that need to be approved by myself or Jake.
Halo of Noire: you can also join the academy if you have magical affinity or
psionic affinity.
TarnishedWarlord: So more or less.........Everyting a mage can, just without
the mage class bonus?
Unstable Memory: and their special skills
Halo of Noire: but if you do NOT have mage, cleric or druid as one of your
two classes...and you do NOT have magical ffinity or psionic affinity you
cannot use magic. period.
Halo of Noire: not even with combat dice.

scarred design: Alright, but in Evan's case.. he's not really much of a
spellcaster, you know? especially in combat.. so do I still have to take
flaws, even though he's not really advancing his spellcasting beyond..
Halo of Noire: there will also be times when say you find a spellbook on
adventure, and only someone that is a mage can use it.
scarred design: for example.. an adept rank?
scarred design: Really, it started off, I just wanted True Seeing, because
of his eyes being mutated. Does that make sense?
FeraIPrince: Well your spells and their power are based off your overall
dice and the gemstone level you are at
Halo of Noire: there really isn't a way we can follow up on each and every
person like that Evan mun. we already have 51 members. It reallywould be hard
for us to try and figure out what level spells you are casting and since your
spells are cast
Halo of Noire: at your combat rank then yes you still have to take flaws.
But there are tons of flaws...and you can pick them.... so it's not like I'm
going to wither an arm and force that on you. some things are easy like
forgetfulness.
Halo of Noire: hell you could even say that his eyes mutated due to
spellcasting as a flaw. I will work with you.
death of resolve: His eyes are a Scar thing.
scarred design: Yeah, but I can probably find some flaws to take that might
fit with him
Halo of Noire: Anyway I was just saying that as an example.
Halo of Noire: Flaws aren't always 'bad' is what I'm saying. They can
enhance roleplay.
Unstable Memory: who doesn't like having a other worldly aura~
scarred design: Yeah, I use the same basic thing for his Father, who's a
psion. The more you expand your mind, the more fucked up it becomes.

TarnishedWarlord: Lilke, for example. Lithel isn't really a magic user...But
he has Spell Like abilites...I got Magical Affinaty to use those, and two
Flaws is his weakness to Salt and Fire (If approved that is.).....As it fits
with why he's got the
TarnishedWarlord: spell like abilites in the first place.
Unstable Memory: wouldn't that fit under the "ingredients" to a spell?

FeraIPrince: Components are things you would need to have the spell work
FeraIPrince: Example: A few rods spoken, a gesture done, a pinch of coal for
a fireball
TarnishedWarlord: He's not allergic....Basicaly, he was "infected" by a
water elemental....And is slowly turning to one (Partially anyway) so it
isn't a sneaze......It dry's him out faster than it would a normal person.

FeraIPrince: components can even be as simple as Mage/Psion needs to focus"

Halo of Noire: if you took psion you auto have psionic affinity
Halo of Noire: yes you have access to psion skills

FeraIPrince: even if it is a second class? where you don;t gain second class
skills until "x" rank
FeraIPrince: You may need to embelish a trifle more there Boss
death of resolve: I thought I didn't get the bonus, but I had access to the
skills.
Halo of Noire: You may choose any skill for your primary or secondary class,
but you only get the bonus for your primary.
Halo of Noire: You may not choose any skills that say (primary) if you are
that class secondary.
Halo of Noire: when you reach a certain rank, your secondary class becomes
primary...and you get that bonus. Bonus, and skills are two different things.
Halo of Noire: That clear now?
Halo of Noire: Yes you don't get the bonus but you do get the skills as long
as they don't say primary.

want to get everything else pinned down before we open something else.
TarnishedWarlord: I've been thinking of seeing of putting together some sort
of Martial Arts Training Ground with Lithel.
Halo of Noire: I don't want to add yet another confusing aspect, until we
all understand how what we have already works.
Ginger Complex: honestly i just wanna play a montage song aka eye of the
tiger, so we need the warrior academy for that -nod-
scarred design: Is there ever going to be a "respec" system? For example
with this magic affinity thing. When I first picked it, I only took it to
gain access to other skills. Now that I know I have to take the magic flaws
as I go up in rank - I
scarred design: may not be too keen on it anymore. (for other people who
did the same thing as me)
Halo of Noire: I don't know what respec is. But, if you wanted to gain
access to magical skills, then I don't see what the issue is to taking
magical ffinity. you can't use magic skills without being magical.
Halo of Noire: so if you are asking if I'll allow people to use magical
skills without being able to use magic, then I'll have to say no lol
Ginger Complex: by respec they mean pick another skill aside magical
affinity
death of resolve: He wants to know if you can change your mind on the skills
you've already taken

TarnishedWarlord: I would honestly suggest, anytime there is a major change
to the game as a whole some things should be able to be changed on character
sheet. As a major change might alter the aspects of the character.

Halo of Noire: I realize I've added probably double if not more skills than
when most of you chose, also changed some class bonuses around. I will allow
you all, at a point here soon, to "fix" your sheets. But once that is done,
then you will not
Halo of Noire: be able to mix and match anytime you want.
Halo of Noire: just allow me to make sure it's all set and done before that
happens. I am making sure that all classes have class skills and such. that
it's more even between classes.

Fire is bad for him too. So anytime those are used on him I play it out like
he takes extra damage.....
FeraIPrince: the player may play it out as such, but no extra dmg is done
unless it is a rgged spell.

it, but that is mun choice unless it's a regged spell, or with a weapon with
a regged thing on it such as silvered against a lycan.

three levels of Iron Will, plus you will be able to buy things from the
Emporium that will aid in willpower.

FeraIPrince: The academy standings only come to stand while in academy
bouts. As in a no bull, academy on academy spar or match
Ginger Complex: So the academy bonuses do not apply on adventures?

adventure, and only someone that is a mage can use it.

of his eyes being mutated. Does that make sense?

dice and the gemstone level you are at

person like that Evan mun. we already have 51 members. It reallywould be hard
for us to try and figure out what level spells you are casting and since your
spells are cast
Halo of Noire: at your combat rank then yes you still have to take flaws.
But there are tons of flaws...and you can pick them.... so it's not like I'm
going to wither an arm and force that on you. some things are easy like
forgetfulness.
Halo of Noire: hell you could even say that his eyes mutated due to
spellcasting as a flaw. I will work with you.

he has Spell Like abilites...I got Magical Affinaty to use those, and two
Flaws is his weakness to Salt and Fire (If approved that is.).....As it fits

access to magical skills, then I don't see what the issue is to taking
magical ffinity. you can't use magic skills without being magical.

when most of you chose, also changed some class bonuses around. I will allow
you all, at a point here soon, to "fix" your sheets. But once that is done,

And yes, there will be organizational bounty type storyline type missions
that will require certain things that you may do.

night, we'll have enough AP to be a guild woot.
death of resolve: Rather than use my AIM status to announce my adventures
(and the other GMs) could we have a section on the board specifically for
announcing them, so people can show/sign up to come along?
Halo of Noire: unless it happened today, I'm pretty sure I added everything
in I had
