The Arcane Duel
[/u][/size][/center]Rules
- Unlike normal spars and the like the Arcane Duel logs are sent to feraiprince.
- Duration of the Arcane Duel is 5 rounds (fight may obviously end before such a time).
- Life is set at 1/2 your dice.
- No magical weapons, items, trickets, toys, baubles, etc., etc..
- No skills allowed, save for the magic ones. (Meaning the ones that say you need magical/psionic affinity)
- Unlike other combats, here, you may ONLY use your registered arcane spells. The number of times you may use the Type of spell is below.

Reflect (1/2 or Whole): One

How It Is Done
1) Both parties enter the ring.
2) They roll initiative (1d20)
3) Order is set, combat begins.
4) They use only their registered spells to try to beat their opponent.
5) Either one combatant will drop due to hit points, or, after the last attack of the 5th round the match is ended. The one victor is the one either still standing, or with the most health remaining. (The chances of these matches actually making it to the end of the 5th round are unlikely but possible)

Halo of Noire: Mela, for being a chaotic creature, did one thing every
single duel she was in and that was to begin with the same damn spell every
time. A slight cant of her head given as her red lips parted, and the ancient
words began to drip
Halo of Noire: forward, the words connecting to the rune she'd carved into
her own flesh like a living spellbook, causing it to push to the surface and
grow red. "Cruor sanguis."

thoughts, her hopes, her wishes, looking over them as the shepard looks to
the flock.

claws rending those things called hopes into nothing but shards of mental

Halo of Noire: She had assumed as much that just from what he was, he'd
delve into her mind first and foremost, and she was ready for him. It was if
he met a steel blockade, not allowing him within at all. She drew in a deep
breath and again
Halo of Noire: focused upon the now-bloody face of the man she loved, as she
began weaving between words and rune-scars again. This time, she held her
hand forward and spoke her incantation, attempting to create a blade of
shadow

FeraIPrince: William had watched as she worked another spell and sent it
towards him. He stood there, bold and defiant, looking as if he were simply
seeking out the means to his own end. Though just before that spell sought
his flesh, his mind

thoughts, but his feelings, his pain, even his very wound with his attacker.

Drawing in a deep breath, she attempted to center herself after that painful
attack, and

this time causing the blood within his body, tip to toe, to boil within him
as negative energy was infused into his body. "Qvae nocent docent."

multiply around her, vibrating in place as they each began o reach critical
mass. With a terrible explosion these balls unleashed their fury. Wave after

Halo of Noire: She pulled up her shadowy shield around her body almost in
time to push the entire attack back upon him, but she was not fast enough.
Only partially did she send that attack back to him. Even as the shadow
shield faded from around
Halo of Noire: her she was pointing a finger out at him, and springing from
her hand shot webbing, which sought her target.

flesh was torn away from him. Looking back towards Melantha, fire in those
now royal hues, he strode towards her, closing the distance as he sought the
depths of her

Halo of Noire: Apparently, she had that mind block down pat. At least for
now. One more chance, she rushed forward, and quickly grabbed him within her
arms, spinning him around and dropping him down to the sand as the webbing
faded away. Ripping
Halo of Noire: his vest away, to reveal bloody flesh, she sank her fangs
into his shoulder, attuning herself to her own body so that the effect she
wished to happen from the bite, would happen.
