upon. Does the soul go to "heaven" or beyond, while it's body stays at it's
undead task? Does the soul stay trapped until the undead is destroyed? I am
afraid I cannot
Halo of Noire: answer that solidly but I can tell you what I believe. In
some cases, it is merely the shell that is animated. When destroyed, it
becomes dust and nothing more. A long dead body, a necromancer digs from the
grave, whose soul has
Halo of Noire: passed on already I do not think, personally, they control or
trap. But in other cases, then the soul is trapped and only by destruction of
the undead will the soul be allowed escape. I hope that wasn't too

creatures lack the intelligence, purpose or fierce will of a ghost. All a
shadow understands is their own weakness and that it must continually try to
strenghthen itself
Halo of Noire: by stealing the vigor of others. A Spectre is a type of
ghost, when they are not created by a spell or touch of another spectre, they
manifest similarly to ghosts. They rise from the violent death of someone who
lack the strength
Halo of Noire: and purpose to become a true ghost, yet possess enough will
and fury they can't move on. They become an instrument of wrath and
vengeance, lacking the means to find rest by the completion of a task."

lingers after death is to continue to fight, to battle, to shed more blood.
A Sword Wraith's purpose may not be their own though, they may be completing
the tasks of

listening to Mela and trying to look down Amata's shirt.
Halo of Noire: fellow soldiers. This can sometimes produce sword wraiths
from the noblest of commanders, to the lowliest of scouts. I will skip
Vampire as that is a class on it's own and move to Wight in my last few

Halo of Noire: "A wight, unless created by another wight, is animated almost
entirely by their desire to do violence. Just as ghouls come from those who
feed off others, wights come from the deaths of those whose sole purpose in

such as a soldier or gladiator is not sufficient.. they must harbor a true
love of carnage and take intense pleasure in ending life. And lastly, the

circumstances, but lack the strength or purpose to arise as a ghost. Where
spectres are born from sudden acts of violence, wraiths result from slow and
lingering deaths.

slowly poisoned is more likely to become a wraith rather than a spectre. They
can also be created by a 'create undead' spell, or by the touch of another
wraith. And, barring
